Turbo + Mp3 Ecu

If I am putting a turbo on my car do I need to change my Ecu or will I be ok? I am putting the Mental Addiction Kit on. Thanks in advance.

it be best to get a lx/es/pro5 ecu since the mp3 ecu has adavance timing on it. if anything you could always get something to control timing. a standalone or piggyback.

The Mental Addiction kit will most likely come with some form of the MPI Tuner, so the timing is nothing to worry about since you can change it! It is best to keep the ECU your car came with unless you plan to go full stand alone.

Stay with what you got. MAM uses the MPI in their kits so you would be good to go. There issues when you swap ECU's so unless you don't mind the CEL and don't need to go through emissions, go for it.
