Ok, so I remember there being 2 good solutions for the MP3 clunk.

The better solution seemed to be made by a forum member...an entire bracket remake...but the guy has been MIA...

The second was Melanism's fix.

Any updates on either?

bump, there was a delsing motorsports or something of that nature, but that guy is way gone.
What about the front bushings? Those drive me way more nuts than the clunk.

Is the Delsing motorsports fix really dead? They had a webpage, and webpages have contact information, so somebody could email them I suppose.

I got my swaybar, bushings, endlinks replaced in April, and I've been happy ever since. We'll see what happens in the winter, but I'm glad I got EVERYTHING replaced so I know for sure if the 156Es work.

Doomer - Did you get all that replaced under warranty?

Yeah. I had to keep harping on the fact that the swaybar was probably worn, and that the bushings weren't making proper contact anymore. They finally got tired of my bitching.

Sucks on the Delsing fix...

I did my ruber inbetween the old D bushing and the swaybar and that was last oct 2003 and still NO clunk.. KNOCK ON WOOD I just placed an 1/4" piece of rubber aroing the bar and put better bolts in on the brackets and tightend it was hard to do but the bar is solid as hell. So hopefully it will work but if it fails I will replace again the same way :D

E's sound like they might work, but they wont warranty mine so I just will keep doing my fix when needed I guess

I got mine replaced late May, early June and it's back again. After going through hell with the dealership and making 3 600 mile roundtrips (hump) , I'm tired of dealing with this crap. I got it covered under warranty which won't happen the next time and I can't come up with the $480 to get it fixed (yupnope) . So to solve the problem and others that I have had, I ordered my new Mazda 3s in June and will be taking delivery of it in late August. Tired of waiting the 3 months for it to get here, but I got everything that I wanted and a little more for a little over invoice(~$150). Anyways I'm happy with my new purchase and good luck to you guys with the clunk (rockon) .

$480 to get it fixed? Just order the bushings and do it yourself. $25 and 15 minutes.

I got my swaybar replaced last week. It was all worn down and it was squeeking as hell. Now it's ok for the moment. They didn't replace de bushings (I already have the 156E and they aren't clunking) but now that my bar is new, just as Justin put it, I'll simply order new ones and replace them myself if needed.

Now I'll go paint my last rotor :D
