Hey everybody!! Time for the First Annual Mazdas and Movies event!

Saturday, July 10th.
4:00 PM....meet at Sonic off of the Cornhusker exit of Kennedy Freeway.
Cruise to Offutt base lake for fun, food , fotos of the cars, etc.
After dinner, we'll take a little cruise en-route to the Council Bluffs Drive-In on South O. Bridge Road.

Please bring your own meat to grill, plates, utensils, drinks and a dish to share with the group.

If you can't make the dinner portion, you can always meet us at the drive-in.
The first movie starts at 9:35. Don't know yet what it's gonna be---I'll post it next week when I find out.
The drive-in is 7.00 for adults, free for kids 11 and under. (Yes, you can bring kids....I'm bringin' mine!)

I would like to collect the monthly dues at this meet. I want to get the logos done asap. I am going to try to meet up with Micah next week to see about maybe making a new club logo and go over pricing. I would like to get initiation fees from everyone by next wed so I can hopefully get the logos done by the club meet on the 10th.

I wanted to work on my car some. Ryan was gonna help me put in his modified shifter, since my car budgety is on hold for who knows how long.(dunno)
One day (maybe staturday) I will get around to painting my heat shield and valve cover.
(uhm) Anyone know if the P5 has a rubber gasket or paper one?

Hey MSP5, i was kinda wondering about the windshield sticker since you haven't got them made yet. I was wondering if you could get maybe like a different type of font. More like a box style lettering that's more artistic looking with some sharp lines and curves if at all possible???? if not, that's okay too..........

Tom, No prob on the Logo. I am going to try to get with Micah next week and see if I can get something more custom made. Something more along the lines of what your talking about. Just so everyone knows the logos with be the same type for everyones car. The main logos might be places in different places but the # logo will be basically in the same place. If ya want, maybe you and anyone else thats interested can meet with me and micha too.

Well it never fails. Its raining again and supposed to rain all night so I am not going to come up wed night. As for this weekend, according to the news channel, it supposed tro storm Friday and Saturday night. I will have to keep a watch on it to see hwo it goes. I hope it doesn';t storm but if it does, I would the the BBQ would have to be postponed. Anythoughs on this?

I thought they said this morning that it would rain Friday night into Saturday morning and then be clear Saturday night and Sunday?? Who knows?

I will post directions to the Base lake from sonic's tomorrow, I know all the streets names accept the one that takes you there...

But in a nutshell

From Sonic's

-Right on Cornhusker (east)

-Follow that through 3 stoplights.

-On fourth stoplight turn right onto Galvin Rd. (south)

-Follow Galvin through two stoplights.

-On third stoplight Make left onto Mission Ave, (east again through Old towne bellevue, east)

-Follow that through3 more stoplights, and make a right onto _______ (gotta figure this street name out tommorrow)

-Follow this road for a ways, it will bend off to the left and go down a hill, and then straighten back out to the right. You will pass a Trailer Park on the right, keep going till you see the sign on the left hand side of the Road that says Base Lake.

-Turn Left, go over the Railroads, and immediately in front of you will be a parking area, Park there and decide on where to go, but regardless you will want to follow the street heading right, it leads off to the backside of the lake, and to more BBQ grills

The film selection for Saturday night at the drive-in will be
SPIDERMAN 2. (2nd feature is White Chicks) Show time is 9:25. Doors open at 7:30.
We should be able to get there in plenty of time to be able to park together.
Again, admission is 7.00 for adults, kids 11 or under are free.

(sorry, Jaskel---I called and asked if they'd show Notting Hill, but no go.)

If you have not posted your intent to meet at SONIC at 4:00 PM on Saturday to cruise to the picnic, please do so ASAP, so we know to wait for your arrival before taking off.

Well, I am glad mothernature held off. Yesterday turned out really well. I am glad for those that where able to make it that yesterday was fun for you all. That was my amin goal. We all got to know each other alittle bit more and had some good food, drinks and a good flick afterwards.
