I posted this on another forum and thought you guys here will find it useful:

Ok, here is the deal for everyone who has a Rev it Up certificate and already bought a car or who need a certificate...

1. If you need a certificate, just call up Mazda USA at 800-222-5500 and tell them you would like one sent to you from the last event, remember all the events were free and you may have just misplaced the one they were handing out to everyone i.e. oops... you lost yours. Yes this social engineering does work and you don't pay jack to anyone on ebay or the lucky few who were able to grab a couple of them.

2. Yes, if you already bought your vehicle you can still claim the certificate as long as it isn't expired. Just go back to your dealer with it and tell them that Mazda USA said it was ok to use it after the fact and if they aren't sure tell them to call Mazda at 800-222-5500. I purchased mine a week before I received the certificate in the mail and the dealer who is about 2 hrs away told me to just mail it to him and he will take care of it.

3. Wait for your $250 check in the mail.

I have done #1 and #2, just waiting for #3. My sales guy was excellent during the sale (s-plan) and said he will gladly handle this for me as well, your sales guy tends to be even more helpful if you haven't returned the survey yet.

Hmmm... I was wondering about this. I didn't even learn about the coupons until after I bought my car. I'm gonna give it a shot!

Hmmm... good question. You might have to be able to convince them that you were on the mainland for one of the RevItUp days.

If somebody has one of the coupons, see if has any disclaimers about Hawaii. If nobody posts before I get mine, I'll let you know after it arrives.

Hey all I just got off the phone with CS and they said that we can go on line and print one off or we can go to the dealer and print it off. The dealer has to go to the dealer link and get the coupon. I wouldnt say anything until the deal is pretty much done and you have the price of the car all settled.

YES! step 1 is complete i got some guy on the phone that sounded like James Earl Jones...he said that he wassn't sure if you could use them after you have already bought the vehicle buy he would check, and just send me the coupon anyway...but i think step 2 will be the hard part...car salesmen are stubborn

Just an update I guess mazda C\S is all messed up now they told the dealer that they couldnt print up the coupon. So I will try all over again Tomm.

Just got mine today. 5 days, including a holiday and a weekend... not bad! I'm off to the dealer tomorrow to turn it in (and pick up my aluminum pedals).

I went to both mazdausa and mazdarevitup and couldn't find any info about the rebate. Has anyone seen a reference to it? someone said you can print it off the internet?? what's the direct link?

Since I'm only on step 1, I'm still nervous. If anyone else has a completed story please post it. thanks

Well, I just called MazdaUSA and they are sending me a coupon myself. They say it should be here tomorrow or the next. I also just called my SM up to inform him of my newly accuired coupon, and he was MORE then happy to help me put it towards my 2nd payment on the car. It really is nice to be able to have mazda kinda pay for itself :) I also used the left over $$ to Pre-Buy oil changes so i don't have to worry about that.

The coupon is only valid for purchases after March 6, 2004 because the first Revitup day was San Francisco, CA 3/6 - 3/7

I bought mine Feb 23. (pissed)

Ok, I got the coupon, took it to my guy and he said, "Ok, now what do i do with it?"
I told him, " Well, I suppose you give a call up to mazdaUSA and process it and they should take care of the rest . . "
His reasponse, " Well, it says you need to use this when buying the car."
Told him, " Well, trust me. Call Mazda Usa and ask them if I can use it after the fact, especially since only 37 days ago i bought the car."
His reply, " Well, let me photocopy it and I'll talk to some people around here and find out what to do."
My reply, " Ok, sounds good to me. In the meantime I'll call Mazda USA up tomorrow and ask them what I need to do and what you need top do in order for me to get the $250. Then we'll know for sure."
His reply, "Ok, talk to you tomorrow."

I don't know what is going on here. He is looking at me like he shouldn't know anything about this coupon. I told him the rev-it-up was out in Orange,CA a while ago. He said, "well maybe its one of those things that only people in CA can get it." I think he just doesn't want to get me the $$ because he might lose some of his comission? Anyonbe here know what must be done in order for me to get my $$? :)

OK, just got my coupon in the mail.

there's not much to it and it's smaller than i expected but who cares.

I read it front and back and the requirements are pretty slim!!!!

1: valid on all 2004 2005 mazda models
2: present at time of purchase :(
3: fully transferable, has no value, do not sell, one per car

it doesn't say anywhere that the car had to be bought after a certain date!
it is implied though because they didn't start giving them out until the first REV-IT-UP event.

number 2 is bothersome BUT it sounds like several people got the dealer to push it through anyway which means that rule is flexible. I'm hoping to use the money towards the MP3 replacement.
I guess it really depends on who's pocket the MONEY is coming from, if it's from the dealer they are going to be tight about it, if it comes from MAZDA corp. then the dealers may not care!!!

also if they know your just going to turn around and give it back for merchandise that may help some.

anyone else have any success??

I just talked to Mazdausa, they send they are sending me one in the mail today, but they also said that the dealer will have to make the decision on whether to honor it or not. She also said it expires on July 20th.

When I get the coupon, I will let you all know what happened.

Got the coupon and turned it in. I have to order a 05 and the coupon expires august 15 0r 18 something like that, but I wont get the car until sept. They tell me they might not give me the 250 because the coupon will expire. Going to call C/S and find out will keep you all posted.

alright, just went to the dealer. He gave me a MAZDA CASH BUYER REBATE FORM to sign, and u have to send it into the Mazda program addy that comes with it, along with the copy of the retail sales contract and a copy of the orignal invoice (which the salesman shoud do for u), and you MUST send it in before 30 days of purchase!!!! mines was about 3 days late, so i sent them a letter BEGGING to get the $ so we'll see how that goes. but if it doesnt work, u can always sell it on ebay pretty quick. i jsut sold my extra for 50$ ;)
