shifter boot is to low

How can i take off the boot to rig it to sit up higher to meet my Momo shifter?

either take a hacksaw to the shifter if you want the knob to sit lower (shorter shift) or get some washers and put them underneath the plastic part that hugs the shifter to raise it up

i got a sweet new leather boot with silver stiching from a forum member. check out the vendors section for pics. it is shorter so you dont get all the sag from using a short shifter.
