I had this problem as well, make sure you brake resoviour is completely full, i topped mine off and it went away. If thats not the case you E-Brake switch might be failing of loose wiring.

the ebrake light acts as a warning light for your brakes, my pads were worn down so it came on for me, got them replaced, went away

i would check the brake fluid reservoir before changing the pads though

usually its to let you know you're low on brake fluid

1.check brake fluid level
if that's ok
2.check and change brake pads

Mine was on for about 3 months until I changed my pads.

You should NEVER have to top off your fluid (unless you have a leak) ... if you do, when you finally change pads/rotors it will overflow the reservoir and make a freakin mess of your engine bay
