Got a buddy that will sell his stock Evo 8 intercooler for like $250. I know that there would be cutting involved, as it is 12" tall. My question, would it be worth it to do that, and get a custom pipe job, or should I just go with the Hiboost and be done with it? Also, is the stock intercooler from the Evo pretty good?
Thanks,

we tried at spd racing to see if the evo 8 ic would fit. Not a chance in hell. You would have cut apart most of the bumper support work. your limit without cutting is going to be 6-6.5 inches.

Thanks,
its not going to work bud, I tried with my evo 8 fmic. I say go with wagner, hiboost or iON. I have the wagner and can say its worth every penny. I know jonboy has the hiboost and its worth the dough too.

mines 26 x 8 x 3.5 hardly any cutting
i agree with notorious 12" = tons of cutting , look for something around 6.5-7
or just take the bumper off and get a good measurment.
