i dont know of one person on this forum that used nitrous for a good length of time without blowing thier engine to bits. not even pdhaudio, whom in my opinion had the most indepth prep work done, avoided blowing the engine.

Our motors hate Nitrous because they run 39-42 degrees advanced....

is there any reliable/predictable way to pull timing?

Maybe if you are a tuning god there is a way...and even then it's iffy...specially since your working with the FS-DE engine....it's like, one of those suicidal engines, that cuts it's wrist, and will take any chance to take the leap

has anyone done a complete standalone on any FS-DEs yet? to the point where there is no stock computer and you tell the engine what to do...

Theres a couple of proteges here in PR with microtech, one is pushing 470whp and the other one is pushing 300whp.
Turfburn is running microtech too but his car is offline right now. I think is going forged byt the end of the year.

is there any reliable/predictable way to pull timing?isn't that supposed to be one of the features of the mpi thing?

Yeah!(naughty)
I have the MPI and I know it retards the timing. I have tested it with a digital timing light.
Right now Im retarding 11-13 degrees on boost.

39-42 degrees advanced!?!?!?! What?!?!?! I have to see this in writing. Sorry man, I'm not trying to dog on you, but that sounds obscene.

Some other people have seen 60 deg advanced on the MP3

Non turbo Hyundai Scoupe runs 45 degrees.
Mitsubishi Mirage 1.8L runs 38 degrees.
RSX TypeS runs around 36 degrees.

Nothing like owning a suicidal car. I plan on going turbo eventually but plan on doing alot of research....anyone going turbo should. There is no such thing as a bolt on high performance part.

any reason why people with good FS-Ts are making over 200-250WHP daily and the nitrous people cant keep the motors together? does n20 have a harsher effect on the motor? If people just bought the required supporting mods and didnt cheap out i think alot fewer would be blowing. Wouldnt DSMs AFC be a cheap solution for n02 bliss? Maybe a J and S when u have some extra scratch lying around.
