I got a ride from Novamsp tonite. Hes intercooler piping was leaking a bit so it wouldn't go past 10psi and came down to 9psi. But everything they say is true about the unichip, its the real deal happy meal! Car pulled as good if not better then a EVO!. No hesitation and no knocking, just smooth power.

my next mod will be hiboost intercooler with unichip.

How much dyno time was spent tuning it??

I don't believe there is dyno time, it's all pre-mapped. You have two selections (A or B)... correct me of course if I'm wrong.

youre right. but a msp at 9-10psi with leaking IC piping is not going to beat an EVO.

Anybody in NY have a unichip? I'm curious to compare with my homedepot tuned car compares with a ...(900$)? tuned car. NJ too.....I'll travel to see if it's worth it.

Sounds good. Ive been hearing alot of good things about that chip might have to pick one up myself. How long has he had it on the car?

with the unichip, can you control the boost at all yourself, or are you at the mercy of the computer?

IT has 2 boost maps. One is stock boost, the other is 13psi blut bleeds to 10 after 5k

MODS PLEASE STICKY THE THREAD "ANSWERS FROM JACK @ UNICHIP" just because everyone is asking questions in many threads.

You cant choose anything but STOCK or 13-10 psi. You cant choose like 8

Okay about 210 hp to the wheels and over 200lb of torque in a car that weights almost 400lbs less then a evo. Yeh the unichip will haul ass. My friend has an evo also with visune programming and my butt dyno said that its pretty close.

well that stock and 13-10psi bleed are available, but if you want to run a constant 9 for example, you have to take it to a unichip tuner and have them program the chip so the ebc runs 9psi and then adjust the maps for it.

I don't see any reason with fuel tuning + bolt ons your not blowing 210 (not necessarily evos) out of the water.

werd. intake+60mm exhaust+unichip=245bhp on Ben's test car, which I think is still pretty low. add a front mount and you should be 240-250whp with good tuning at 10psi+.

You dont have to install the EBC part of the chip. You could keep a dual setup like i am planning to do (Boostsciences MBC's with a solenoid). Check this thread...

I'm planning on using the unichip but having 9-10psi base and be able to switch to 14.

I don't know, but mine peaks at 14 psi and it feels VERY fast. Traction is a problem though.

i havent driven an evo, but i have an STI
id say it would be close but no cigar . since the other day when i installed the chip i really been working the MSP i was only boostin 7psi so more then likly
when i switched to the chip the higher boost prob shook a clamp loose or somthing . also dont forget im still rockin the stock exhaust & motor mounts cats and all. i prob wont be able to afford exhaust till sept so im going to wait and see whats available then.

i'm sure ppl are ordering different combos, but yea you can get a moderately tuned 13-10bleed or a more agressive 13-10bleed that requires 95+oct.

I'll tell ya, I've spent the last couple days up in mass with a nepoc buddy of mine (xxmspxx) with his black MSP..Running the spool cai, colder plugs, apex downpipe w/ 2.33" system, at 16-14lbs..That thing scooooooots..We spanked a WRX, but as the night went on and as it got colder, we began to hit fuel cut more and more..still though, fast as all hell.
