I just installed my greedy type s ...on the hiboost fmic kit and im not to sure that the greddy bov is working right...it blows off with a little gobble then a really high pitch shreek...and then if i shift and let it blow off and dont get right on the gas it makes the high pitch whistle again but very quiet...and it doesnt sound like any of the greddy type s ..sound clips ive heard.
Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Matt

how many other connections do you have on that vacuum line? i recommend using the brake booster vacuum line...mine really got loud after i tapped into that line.

well i thought about that but im not 100% sure which is the brake booster line...so right now i have it to the stock bypass valve line which goes to the wastegate..

the brake booster line is a really thick hose that runs along the back of the intake manifold near the strut bar and ends on the drivers side in the firewall and on the passengers side near the strut. its a 3/8in fitting youll need...make sure you cut closer to the passengers side rather than too close to the firewall where there is a little plastic kazoo thing.

if it works. mine sounded like that until i put it on a better vacuum source.

would not having a good vaccum source such as the brake booster cause my car to stall after going into boost and immediately going into neutral?

no but if your BOV is not recirculated (which im pretty sure its not), it will do this. you need to downshift. after a few days or weeks it will become second nature and youll forget you even had to change your driving habits...OR...youll stall out and drift into an intersection promptly being sideswiped by a bus.

lol.. which almost happened.. drifting into a intersection that is.. no P/S = no control over the car.. T.T and also on the damn freeway exit ramp.. which sucks.. but i've gotten used to the downshifting.. actually i upshift if i'm not going fast and brake then go neutral.. which also works.. but i will be putting in the vaccum source for my BOV on the brake booster .. i have wayy too many T taps on one source.. (damn those mechanics that did my car.. and its leaking oil where my Main Bearing support plate and tranny meets.. they pried my plate apart and then didn't even seal it up correctly) anyhoot.. thanks matthew!

np...why did they split your pack? hopefully they installed a clutch or some shit.

no.. those guys were tryign to take off my MBSP so they could machine and weld that girdle that my MSP turbo kit came with.. it would make my MBSP like the MSP stock plate.. so i would have the return line on the plate and not on the oil pan.. they broke the liquid sealant that was on the plate.. and they found out that they needed to take off tranny to get to two more screws.. then they said ..300 more dollars just to take off tranny and get that plate off.. i said screw that.. drill my oil pan.. so they bolted everything back together without resealing it.. they probably bent up my plate in the process of prying it..

i think you should kick them in the nuts instead of paying for it.

Definitely tap into the brake booster line. It is the best vacuum source and you should definitely have the BOV and wastegate on two different vacuum sources. Read this thread, it shows exactly how to do it what parts you would need to do so...
