Oh that is sweet! Can't wait to see the install. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you spend on the system? Also, did you have it installed or did you self-install?
Thanks,
James

I got the little XM 'Roady'. I just mounted it right over the airbag warning light, since I'll NEVER turn off the front airbag. All of the cables are tucked down into the ashtray slot right below. Not as fancy as some other solutions I'm sure, but it was easy, and looks pretty clean...

I think the airbag light turns on when there is a malfunction in the system. You might not want to hide that...

The light on the console (by the ashtray) Is to let you know that the passenger seat airbag has disengaged. The second generation airbags have a weight sensor in the seat. If it senses a weight less than 70lb (about 35kg) It will disable the passenger airbag as not to kill someone little in the front seat should the airbag deploy.
The airbaglight on the gauge cluster lets you know that ALL the airbags are disengaged, including the driver's. It is when this light comes that you should get to the dealer as it is probably a sensor in the nose of the car that is bad.
If the airbag light on the console comes on, take your backpack (or whatever) off the passenger seat and the light should go off.

Hey Castle,
Did you have it installed or was it self-install? How did you run the antenna and where was the tuner box installed? It's the commander model from XM. Very nice indeed.

I put it in my last car (civic) but I didnt want to mess shit up so I played it safe and had someone put it in. the tuner box is up front behind it all. the antenna is slick cause its nice and small I ran that behind da moldings to the back of the ride, it sits right behind the car antenna on the edge so not to close to the car one. all wires are hidden clean
oh ill try to enlarge da pic this week. cool?

That is the same place I put my co-workers Commander. Right down velcroed to the ashtray lid. I put the wire to the MJodulator back behidn the ashtraya fter taking the ashtray out and removing the center console. I have the modulator under the floormat and I put the antenna all the way back at the rear with the other one.
I do have one question for you regarding your install. I had to add in a wireless transmitter for the XM as I could not figure out how to get to the back of the stereo to hardwire the modulator into the stereo. Can you give me a walkthrough on how to do this, the m3 my co-worker has is the same dash as you showed in your pictures.
I do installs in everything from 200 ton cranes to semi trucks to regular cars and this car has me baffled lol. XM sounds liekcrap through the wireless transmitter I'm using at the moment and I would like to hard-wire this into the stereo.
Thanks in Advance.

I actually put my commandder install on the ashtray lid not in the ashtray however, plus since it is velcroed there you can take the commander off the ashtray and still have access to the ashtray if you need it.
