I dont know if this has been asked already, but i'll ask it anyways...
What octane runs the best for the 2.3L engine? I've been running 89 and it feels like the engine is retarding a little bit, and i'm getting some crap ass mileage out of it.
I've heard that this engine is best when it's runned on 87.
Also, i was wondering when does our VVT kicks in? Thanks guys

it's tuned for regular unleaded, so use that.

87 like in the manual. As for VVT kicking in, you can sense it do it's thing right after 3500 rpm on the 2.3.
Enjoy.
