View Full Version : selling my 02 es
Well it looks like I will probably be selling my 2002 es if the deal I have witrh a forum member about buying his 03.5 msp goes through. So that means im gonna be selling my 02 es privately cause I will get crap selling it to a dealer. I was wondering if I can get some ideas on how much you guys htink I can get for it.
Its a silver 2002 es automatic with 30k miles on it. It has a few minor scratches on the paint otherwise perfect condition and change oil regularly. Im also not sure if i should try selling it with all the mods I have since some soccer mom might wind up seeing it and then be turned off by the mods and such.
So help me out if you can, thanks :D

Good luck getting more than the blue book asks for it. Not only are you asking for more, but banks will only loan so much to people depending on the model. Cars don't sell like trucks and SUVs.:(

nowadays with gas prices near $2.00/gal, you see more and more trucks and suv's on the used car lots, that DONT sell.
you might actually get near KBB price on this one if you play your cards right.
honestly i wouldnt expect any more than 10k, and i think youd be lucky to get that. but whatever you do, dont go to the dealers. they wanted to give me only 3500 for mine with 30k on it.

Try Edmunds.com for a value. It'll probably be lower than KBB, but here in the South, it is a lot closer to what the market will bear. My dad's been selling cars for 25 years and that's what he recomends.
