I am thinking that no meet will happen unless someone jumps on it. SO I am voluteering. I was thinking the 3rd or 4th of july we could have a meet a great. Don't have anything other than this planned so far. We can all take about getting a club going and stuff like that.

What does everyone think of this meet and the club idea?

Who would be able to do it then?

Where would you like to have it?

What would you like to do at this event?

Do you want it to be kinda laid back or have things planned?

Any other comments?

TRevor---do you work next Wednesay night???
Maybe we could quickly meet at the PetSmart parking lot at around 5:15, Wednesday, June 23rd??
If TRevor is going to be there, would this work for anybody else???

Sounds great, and I hate to be the party pooper, but you might want to come up with another sort of refreshment if you go to a park for this... It is against NE law to have beer at a public park.... So unless you plan on doing it at the Base Lake...

I'd like to throw in the idea of going to the drive-in movie over in CB. You can have beer there....food, whatever, and we could all park together....
wouldn't we look cute with all our little wagons in a row???
(Or should we circle them? haha)
WOuld probably need to do that on a Friday or Saturday night.....

This will be a BYOS ( bring your own stuff) kinda thing. Since there are no club funds as of yet, I can't get food ro drinks or anything. Base lake is a good idea but so is the Drive in. Don't remember what ya have to do to get on it though. LOL Anyone know?

Maybe we can meet at the base lake, meet everyone, check out our cars, take pics, talk and what not, eat some food, then head to the Drive in. Could ge some cool shots at the Drive in.

On the 23rd, I can meet up at Petsmart. Might be a fewmins late.

Personally I would think that the best for a new club is to just get everyone together at a location with a good backdrop, do a small meet and greet, and do pictures. for the first meet anyways, and progress along from there, you know meet up at the roof top of like the Crossroads mall parking garage, or a park where you can get all the cars together on the grass for just some pics first

Yeah, I agree with ya. I am really open to what everyone else feels comfortable with. I just want to get the ball rolling. I am free Friday night and Saturday. So whoever wants to get together let me know.

I am going to setup a quick meet and greet for next Wed, the 23rd for around 5:30pm till whenever. This is so everyone can see the Logo's on my car and so i can collect the money from everyone, go over color choice and then I can get logo's for everyone. Where's everyone want it at? I think a Mall parking lot woud be good, maybe the oakview mall. Hows sound to everyone?

As for the 10th heres the plan, meet at base lake ( unless someone has a better suggestion). We can meet, take pics eat, drink, whatever, then we can cruise around ( need Event coordinator to work on this with me) and eventually head over to the CB Drive in and take come more pics and watch a flick.

Not to much I think and will be fun.

How about this wed, we meet up near the Petsmart near Oakview round 5:30p. We can all meet, see the clu logo, I can talk to everyone about club positions, I can collect club monies. Then at that point, if noone has any questions or concerns, we all can cruise to Rush st. People are there till it gets dark, round 9pm. So this would give us plenty of time.

That sounds good to me. I'm only available til about 6:15 the next few Wednesdays because I have a class that starts at 6:30. It's at Millard South,
so meeting at PetSmart is perfect for me.

Saw a white P5 this morning near the MedCenter......female driver....tried to get her attention but she was looking the other way!!

making up a list would be great. We have a total of ten members right now which is good. Ryan is handling the club email. Trevor will be the Mazda Parts Specialist (MPS) for short. LOL Of course you are the Event Cooordinator.
We have a good start on things. I would like to get everyone's phone number too.

Just so everyone knows, if I don't get the club dues before this event, I will not be able to get the logos done in time. Also, since this is the first meet, technically the monthly fees are due. Once I get those, the next meet I can take care of getting all the little stuff done. Anyone have any questions?

Did the vinyl guy freak out at all the special orders???

06-29-2004, 02:23 PM
I haven't spoken to him yet. I am going to try a few different places once I collect all the funds cause I don't think the shop I am dealing with now will give me a break on all the different orders. I am going to get the best deal possible for the club. We still have time to get them done and as long as I have 3-4 days before the 10th, I am pretty sure I can get them done. Since I am talking to you Michelle, for the BBQ, since I don't have the funds yet, I am thinking this BBQ will just end up being everyone bringing thier own stuff. I would front the funds to get the basics for this but after the move and currently being unemployed, my funds are pretty much depleted at this time. I feel bad about this cause here I am tring to get this club off the ground and telling everyone they need to have thier funds in and I can't even take care of the little things right now. I realy didn't want to move to this little town, but I was really left with no choice for now. It's not that bad just not much here and it involves a long drive to Omaha all the time. I am hoping everyone shows up for this and even more people not invloved yet.

Oh, one more thing, if anyone has some games or whatever they want to bring please do. Like a football, soccerball, whatever. I just want to have a good time and get to know everyone.

Here's what I was thinking for food. Everybody bring their own hot dogs, burgers or whatever. (I"m assuming the base lake has grills??? better add charcoal to that list.) Bring your plates, silverware, drinks. And bring one dish to share with the group: a salad or dessert......
How does that sound.?
THe drive-in is 7.00 for adults, kids 11 and under are free.

I didn't realize you had quit your job along with moving. You have some major stressors in your life right now....especially with the bambino on the way!! Hang in there!

Hang in there! You could say I'm under some stress(shocked) . I had a job in Omaha, but between what they take out for childsupport and what it would cost me to drive there everyday, I would be lucky to make $100 a week. Add on top of that the over 800 miles aweek I would be putting on mycar, I would need new tires in just over a month along with having to get the timing belt done. Stuff I just can't afford right now. I am looking at refinancing my house. If it goes well, then there will be no worries. If it doesn't go well, everything might be lost. LEts hope for the first option.

As far as the club BBq, what you mentioned Michelle sounds goods and it sounds like all is going as planned. I can't wait.

Are you renting your house out???Theres some industry round here. Hopeing to get a job with Pella windows. Markets kinda slim around here. I would like to start a detailing and graphics business but no funds to get that started with. I have a place to detail but no funds for equipment and not really sure how to drum up business in this small town.

Our house is rented out. THe things is we have been behind for quite awhile. I was unemployed before for awhile and I was also disabled for about 9 months/ The past year has been kinda crappy for me and stacy. We fell behind and where trying to catch up. The finance companies don't care/ We are trying one last thing, if it goes thru, we will be fine. if it doesn't, we will lose the house and if stacy and I don't get jobs we wil loose the house. I am not ashamed of whats happening. Not proud of it but you know thigns happen. We tried to prevent it but when you have to pay almost $1000/month for childsupport it's kinda hard. BUt hey, thats life. Sory to bore all who read this, jus trying to make the best of things.

Whats weird is that, when I got out of the Army in Oct97, to be with my ex-wife, my life has been on a slow downward spiral it seems. The only thing that I can recall being a positive thing is Stacy. I have to girls that I love to death but I don't get to see them since m ex moved to Oklahoma. Calling them is hit and miss and when I send gifts for them they end up broken. Kinda sucks and is depressing. THe brights spots in the darkenss is stacy being pregnant( though I didn't want to bring a child intot he world in this situation, I also wanted to be married) and that starting of this club. I am excited about it and wish I had more to offer and could do more to get things going.

Well, you should be safe from the Army, then!

That sucks if your ex isn't cooperative with your visitation. --if they only realized that they are hurting the kids by denying them the right to have two parents. I guess some people will just do anything to keep hurting that ex-spouse. It's sad. How old are your girls?

MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR PROPS to RYAN (mazdamanic). His friend, my friend Jimmy, he, and I worked on my car for about three hours last night installing my Eibach Pro-Kit and Greddy Evo II catback. The car looks great and handles even more so. The exhaust actually gave me more gains than i thought. It has a lot more power in the higher rpms and the downshift into 2nd bangs out like a motherfucker. I want everybody to give Ryan a huge pat on the back for helping me with that cause without him, this never could have happened. THANKS RYAN!!!!!!!

Sorry MSP5, i got tied up in all of the bullshit of having to deal with my stuff being on back order and getting time in the shop set up. I also had to deal with my car being stuck at woodhouse mazda for four days when i should have gotten it back in one day. They said to bring my car in thur night so that they could do the work b4 the weekend and have it back to me in a day. BULLSHIT, they kept the damn thing through the weekend into Monday AND TUESDAY. So here i am sitting on all of my parts with no car. Then, on tues i finally get my car back and i go over to my buddy's shop and attempt to get the exhaust situation organized. I finally realized that i had left the gaskets and bolts that came with the GReddy system IN THE RENTAL VEHICLE!!!!!!! So i went and drove around to all of the enterprise rentacar places searching for this rental i had. It was after 6 o'clock and enterprise was closed. I finally called the roadside assist and told that guy what was going on. He basically told me that i was screwed.

So i go back down to woodhouse and behold......the rental is sitting in the back of the lot. I go up to it to find my parts sitting right there in the rental. Luckily the doors were all unlocked and i finally got my shit back.

WOODHOUSE re-mounted my MSP airdam and repainted it cause they didn't primer it the first time and all of thepaint chipped off. Also, they gave me a new headlight on warranty cause water got into it and shorted out the wiring harness for the bulb. They said it would take only one day and it ended up taking the about four.

They still couldn't get the airdam back on flush so i bitched them out telling them how shitty they are and jacked a bunch of two sided tape that they use to mount it and made off. I will probably gank the air dam here in a couple of months and do it myself but i guess i can deal with it for now.

Yeah, dealerships can be a pain in the ass. Gotta fight them if you're right. Guess I'll look at it next week to see how bad it is. See ya next wed. Have a safe and happy 4th.
