I just had new Yokohama Avid H4S tires put on my P5 on Friday (Discount Tire Company) after the crappy Duncraps went out after 27k. Junk. Well, I got on the highway and had vibrations. Took back the next day and said I had one tire bad. Didn't have any more so they put on Yoko ES 100's on the car. Took it out and it vibrated despite their using the Hunter Road Force machine. Frustrated and sick of the damn car, I drove home and had a beer. I hate cars.

Called them today and told them I didn't want the 100's anyway---it's my wife car and the tires are LOUD! So, they suggested Kumho Ecsta ASX in 205/50/16. The other tires were a 45 series and man can you feel the bumps. Anyway....I have never heard of these tires, but they got good reviews, so I am going with them.

My bigger concern isn't the damn tire and how it performs, it's this f-ing vibration issue. I don't get why they can't balance it when using the roadforce machine. It makes me mad because it takes me an hour to get to this place; going back and forth is out of the question, even though I have done it twice already.

Should have stated, but vibration comes on at 69mph and is REALLY bad at 90. I cruise at 75 and it's making the seats shake like mad and steering wheel only very slightly---tells me it's an issue in the rear tires.

Anyone have any input on this that can help? I am going back down on Wednesday to have them put the new tires on. Other than not solving the vibe issue, they have been REALLY good to work with.

Since it seems the vibration happened after the tires were put on, it seems they may be not balanced correctly. Check for any damage to the wheel, possibly bent or something. Maybe there is still bad tires, but I really think the wheel is not balanced correctly.

Another possibility is a shock issue. If the shocks are worn out, and, and the tires are pretty worn, you may not be able to tell, until new tread is installed. It sounds insane, but it happened on my old B3000. I replaced the original tires with Goodyears, and the damn thing was hopping all over the place when I git bumps, and it vibrated around 40 MPH. I took it back, and found that the truck's shocks were shot. The push down and release test confirmed. Replaced the shocks and got the front end allignment done, and the truck rode better than new.

Hope this helps. Anyone else got ideas?

Good suggestions. I hope my shocks aren't dead at 27k though! Yikes! I looked at each wheel for several min. to see if I could see damage and I saw none. I honestly think that the person who balanced them isn't trained well enough on the machine. I hate to be like that, but what else could explain it. I am going to a different branch tomorrow to have the new tires put on. Please wish me luck!
