As my brother recently siezed his engine of his prelude by sucking water into his cai, my dad was all about me making my injen which i had just purchased into a short ram when i put it on, so i did. i've gotta be the 10 millionth person to say this, but, HOLY HELL IT SOUNDS TOTALLY BADASS!!!! it went on without a hitch, no CEL or anything. at first i noticed a power gain, but now my car seems like it hesitates like a mofo. i dont know why it's doing this. it's unflashed, but it never hesitated too terribly before. any ideas? maybe even slower than before? i dunno, maybe it's all in my head after reading some of the short ram-warning posts on this forum....

your fan is blowing hot air into your intake.along with that if you may be blowing hot air on your ambient air temp sensor.

heat is bad

my advise make a heat shield.

could it have anything to do with how much weight is in the car? cuz right after i posted this thread, i went out by myself and my msp hauled ass. but it hasnt since, and i've always had more people with me other than that one time last night......hmmm. i'll see what i can do about a heat shield. i forgot about that simple trick (hand)

I recommend keeping the stock air box and using a k&n drop in filter.

even with the stock air box the temp sensor reads hot air.
What ambient temperatue are you talking about?

I have also converted the Injen int a SRI. The stock air box sucks more hot air and it has more bends than the Injen SRI . Even with the lil elbow on the stock air box, it sucks aire from right in frint of the fans.
