Simple install, took 12 minutes including putting the car on and off the ramps.
MUCH better now, no more slop! w00t!
Tomorrow the Kartboy short shifter goes in, and I'll probably change out the tranny fluid if I remember to pick up a 23mm socket today.

Ramps.
Used a 14mm closed wrench...there's no way to fit a ratchet and socket in there with the downpipe in place.
Just take off the nut, slide the bushing/support assembly off the rod, (hardest part) remove the stock bushing, slip the new bushings on, tighten nut.
The stock bushing is a PITA to get out though...I used a long screwdriver to use as a lever to get some leverage when pushing the stock bushing out. Probably would have been easier with some WD-40 but I didn't feel like getting out from under the car and finding some.

The stock bushing is a PITA to get out isnt it!
I cant beleive you are just now getting these...For the price, this should be every MSP's or Pro's first mod...Its a night and day difference.
Please let us know how much the Kartboy shifter shortens your throw...I havent gotten one because I dont think it will shorten it much on the MSP...I think it will also raise up the shifter...Make it sit higher inside of the car..Let us know.

getting the stock bushing off was a bitch I cut mine off. It does only take 15 to 20 min but it still hard to put in reverse

Hey Jersey,
How much better are they? I'd love to try it out before buying them. Don't try, just BUY NOW! Seriously, if you compared the amount of joy one gets out of a mod to it's price, the bushing would win any contest. It's 25-30 bucks or urethane bliss. (thumb)

Hmmm i JUST installed them... took it for a drive... whats the difference supposed to feel like???? isn't it supposed to be smoother???? it just seems like when i shift into gears, its not as soft feeling anymore... seems a bit rougher... is that what the difference is????

Yup it's more solid.
To make things smoother switch to a good synthetic tranny fluid.
Also urethane needs to 'settle'.

Yeah ur right, its a lot more solid, hopefully it'll settle in and feel even better, i was also wondering what kind of synthetic tranny fluid u using?? and where you got it from... expensive?

i just did mine this past weekend, MAN it feels so soild...i luv it...and guys....u should of grabed the directions off the kartboy site....i wasted 30 min messinw ith that damn stock bushing...then i printed out the directions and realized how easy it was...kartboy says to just move the bushing and linkage so the threaded stud is pushin on the bushings and just grab the linkage and push in towards the tranny so the stud is pushin the pushings out...poped right out in like 2 sec...i wa slike (attn) .....great upgrade though.....

When trying to get the stock bushing out use the bolt that you just pulled the linkage off of. Use that as a punch and it'll come right off.
