I wanna monitor the tempture on the IC... Any suggestion on how to go about it. I don't want to drill a hole in my pipes and putting a temp sensor in there...

I guess my orginal question is what is the temperture range for our ic...
Is there a gauge that will display it.. most water don't start displaying until 150 and goes up to 250 to 300 degrees.
Can i just strap the temperture gauge to the outlet piece of the IC and not drill the hole??

I had an intercooler temp sensor gauge on my mr2. What you have to do is get a bung welded on each side of your intercooler, and no you really cant do this properly on the factory intercooler with the wonderful endtanks. a wire goes from each sensor to the unit and then you just wire the power and ground wires for it. It then tells you the enter and exit temp, or it can just tell you the difference. It was and SP Engineering Intercooler temp gauge. Its a little smaller then a profec b, and is really easy to install and mount. As long as you dont mind messing with your intercooler.

all you need to do is get one of those cheapy outside temp sensors from like walmart for like $5-10 and make a small hole in your IC piping and there you go. I don't know how well it will withstand the heat from the engine, but I have been told it will work to measure the IC tep
