Does anyone know if it matters where i put the temp. sensor? i have it installed after the MAF . Would it be better before the MAF or after it? Thanks guys

does not matter. I convert it my Injen to SRI and I have did not even drill an hole for the temp sensor. It is zip tied to the clutch line. It does not really matter as long as it is close to the air filter. I had this setup in my wife's Protege for 2 yrs w/ no problems.

Wouldnt the temp sensor be better after the IC so that it can read the real temperature of the air going into the manifold (dunno) !??? It could also help reduce the A/F ration !!! What do u guys think ?

I always thought about that too Wingman, especially if you have an upgraded IC (doesn't matter whether it's SMIC or FMIC). But If your intake air is say 100 degrees, stock it could be going in the throttle body at 120 (after turbo heat and then cooled by the crappy stock intercooler). If you had an upgraded intercooler the same 100 degrees intake air would then be cooler, and denser, and the ECU wouldn't even know.

Yes. Mazda knows exactly what they are doing

The only problem with putting the temp sensor in the IC pipe is that it'll pop right out as soon as you hit boost hehe. I wanted to try that but unless you hack it up somehow it's not going to stay in and will leak boost. Don't know how it would affect the A/F ratio prolly make it less rich.
