Will the wings west front bumper for the 01-up protege fit my 2001 ES? Also I'm just buying th efront, will it have flares that dont match up to the fender? Because I see flares on it, then they match with the fender, and I think the fender has flares on it. So could you guys tell me? What would it look like if I just buy the bumper??

it will fit with some modifications to the rebar.

the flares don't matter.. the bumper doesn't come with flares, that's another part of the kit.

go to the dealer and get the MP3/P5 bumper rebar. You will also need, but not a necessity, the wheel wells from the MP3/P5.

damn...guess I'll go stock...I'm not that smart and how much is a rebar and on the WW site it said it will bolt to factory installation points...is that a lie? What would fit without modification?? Do they make lip kits?

ohh wait. I haven't been on the WW site in a long time and if I remember correctly they now have a bumper that fits the regular Pro sedan. If so then all you need is the bumper from WW and nothing else. There should be no major modification necessary, only certain fitment tweaks if needed. When I bought my WW kit all they had was for the MP3/P5 but now they have it for the regular sedan if I'm not mistaken.

i took a quick peek, and it doesn't look like they offer anything for the regular sedan series.

You can cut or remove your rebar (not advised) or you can buy a Protege5/MSP/MP3 rebar that is shaped properly.
And as stated, you will need the lining bits ($40 each) for the wheel well.

so toss on another $300 over the cost of the bumper itself.

If you want a P5 bumper or anything with the foglights, you'll have to change your rebar.. it's just not designed to accomodate those big holes/pods. If you can find a P5 that was wrecked from the rear, you can probably get the front bumper and rebar for pretty cheap.

ya if you read on the site it states theres MP3 only kit an then the sedan kit, just make sure you get the sedan kit and you'll be fine

there's the hood, that's valid for all.

but otherwise, there's the "MP3 Only" kit and the "MPS Kit".. MPS = Mazda ProtegeSpeed (otherwise known as the MSP)

Both the MP3 and MSP have different rebars than the regular sedan.

You just have to order the proper bumper for the sedan. They make one that fits the sedan without any mods. The product# is 890789 for the full kit, not sure about the bumper separately. I've also taken a look at this kit for my ES, and dealer told me WW makes a bumper that fits without mod.

The look should be exactly the same as in pictures.

Amen. Since I have a P5, I had to order the MP3 Wings West bumper because I ahare the MP3 rebar, etc. They do have a bumper fot the regular sedan though.
