New to forum. Just installed Unichip. It rocks!!!! This is what the car should be like from the factory. I plan on getting dyno numbers next week. Pineapple motorpsorts is "MASSIVE!" Big respect to Rob- he definitely knows what he is doing. Current mods. include: Injen intake, Apex DP, Corksport stainless clutch cable, Mobil 1. Future plans include PERRIN parts: FMIC, exhaust, sway bars, endlinks, etc.

Hey, anyone hear from Delsingmotorsports in awhile?

What boost setting are you running? I'm guessing the chip raised the boost? Also you are using colder plugs right? One last question, did they setup this chip knowing you had a DP and intake?

Give us some details i havent read too many threads about this chip and how it is actually performing...

i don't think the chip will be able to change boost settings since our wastegates are already set and can only be changed by manual tuning (i.e. boost controller). and i've never heard of Perrin or delsingmotorsports...

perrin makes good shit, they are in the process of finishing up a pretty decent line of products for the MSP. Do a google search, and there is also a post on here somewhere.

The unichip system comes with a great electric b/c. It controlls the bost, 13-14psi at low rpm, up top it bleeds off to 10psi to help keep things safe. Ive been running it now for a few weeks and still runnin strong.

Sonic, the question about running the chip without the controller has never been answered. I have a turbo back 2.5 in exhaust, hard pipes on the way (with sri) colder plugs and a boost sciences MBC. Could i just purchase this to have a better tuned ecu? I just wanna have some decent maps and an ECU that isnt retarded....please elaborate on the different options that are available with this chip.

I would basically just like to see some numbers from a totally stock MSP with this chip, running STOCK boost levels. Then and only then will i really be convinced this chip is worth the $$$

I agree with mattybo, I dont plan on boosting up so I want to see what its like at stock boost and if it can be installed withOUT a boost controller.

Delsingmotorsports is designing a replacement fix for the Klunk Hard to believe you own a MSP are havent heard about the company trying to fix the klunk for real. They are also working on an entire lineup of suspesion mods for the MSP

I know the unichip has a boost controller and you can switch between stock boost and upped boost but I was wondering if you can get it without the boost controller, or do you have to have it and just leave it on the stock switch

I was thinking about purchasing this but i had some questions first. One how do u program what u have in the car now, or do you have to go somewhere to do that or can they do that before you get it. Also did you do the install it. Lastly did you purchase it from corksport. As of now i have the turbo back exhaust and fmic both from ion performance. Thanks.

for the map to be "correct" for your mods, it has to be dyno tuned...
it DOES say that in that thread.

You can go to the corksport site it has quite a bit of information on it.

No my car is not flashed. Don't get your car flashed for any reason. Waste of time and the fuel map still will not be correct. Unichip leans the car out. Rob at Pineapple knows how to tune properly without sacrificing reliability. He found the maximum performance with the current map and then backed it down a little to be safe. He did not hear any pinging sounds/detonation at any time with the current settings. Unichip install was straight forward with the detailed instructions. Gas mileage is way better. Performance is excellent. The car no longer hesitates at any RPM. All I can say is hang on tight because the added boost will rip the steering wheel right out of your hand mid-corner during hard acceleration.
