Some punk stole my personalized license plate.

So if you live in the Cincinnati/Dayton Ohio area and you see some kid showing off a personalized plate that says CLKWRK, kick his punk ass for me.

Taking my plate cost me $6 to get replacement (which is normal, not personalized) but I'm out the $90 that it took to get that plate and i only got it a month ago. I had switched from SCRMPOP to CLKWRK recently.

I can't believe how angry I am.

It just never occurred to me that my license plate would be something someone would steal... I mean thats why I never got that carbon fiber license plate bracket! I thought "You know someone with a screwdriver is going to take that bracket". I never though "Some kid with a house key is going to steal that license plate".

For some reason I thought license plates were just off limits... like stealing mail, a severely punishable offense. I mean I could understand a crook who wants to use different plates to get away, or someone with expired plates stealing normal ones so they can use them on the road. I can understand THAT for some reason. But I can't understand why some punk ass mother fvcking bitchass kid coming up to my driveway infront of my flood lights and working at the screws to get my CLKWRK plate.

Oh he stole the screws too... so I had to go buy new ones... accidentally got the wrong kind (buy the Import screws, or 6mm type)... felt like an ass all night.

I could use my one remaining plate and just get new tags... problem is CLKWRK is now on the stolen plate list and my local police will pull me over and arrest me at gunpoint. Yeah they'll let me go once they see I'm the registered driver, but I'd prefer not to be pulled over for gunpoint six times a month as I drive to work.

I think the plate costs for a vanity plate is cheap at $ 95.00...here in Ontario canada the cost is $ 220....thats canadian dollars but still...

In Utah its $58 dollars - and I can tell you about the plates thing because I work for the police. You are allowed to keep your plate but you are not allowed to USE the plate until it other has been found and removed from the NCIC (National Crime Information Center) hit list. This may never happen, but if it isnt found with a year IIRC of listing it will be removed by the computer as inactive. (mabey it was 3??) anyway - good luck - and your right about the gunpoint thing - its an auto felony stop with a stolen vehicle or plate.

It really sucks. I started using the screws that Cable guys use. The have torx bits with raised center. Seems to have slowe dthem down. Currently running 'NO P8NCE'...

I just spent 3 years living over in Japan, and I could leave a wallet full of money in the street in the city and someone would track me down and give it back money not touched. Thieves are just people who can't cut it in real life (or are just too lazy to), and have to take from those who can. I still can't believe how advanced we are as a society we still resort to something so primitive as taking from others. Don't have to worry much about it here in Idaho, feel sorry for the city folk.

My MSP didn't come with any valve stem caps. I'm surprised the ones I put on their haven't been stolen yet

FSTMP3 is mine. $40 a year to have vanity plates in Texas. You also have to re-register your car when you 1st get the plates, so that's at least another $26 initially, but after that it is just $40 a year. We are limited to 6 letters/numbers here too. :(
