Any know if you can still get those things ... Greddy (or someone) used to make attachments that screw into the greddy type s to change the sound / whistle?

I know the recirculation fitting screws in, and changes the sound slightly

greddy makes a recirc fitting? Why would you need one? Couldnt you just tie some tubing over the part that vents air and route it to the intake? Using scome screw clamps should do the job...which is what i was considering soon as i get my pipes.

i know HKS makes inserts for the SSQV, but never heard of these for the Greddy.
Also, you dont need to recirc a type S.. tuned right, it wont stall.

Show me what it looks like if you can find one, i did a search without any luck.
Jeff - Yea i know, I'm just a little apprehensive because our car came equipped with a MAF, and until i have enough loot for an E6X or something like that i suppose i should keep it recirculated. It may run fine completely vented but i think it will run perfectly with it recirc. Im gonna try both to see if it makes a difference.

Ok ... i want to clarify because everyone is missing my point completely.
1. I am not asking because i want to recirc ... recircing is retarded and there is no reason for it.
2. I do not want to rid myself of the whistle ... i want to make it ear shatteringly loud ... i want to make Grandmas walking on the sidewalks crap in their depends.
I used to have an attachment for my other greddy that brought the 19mm hole down to about a 6mm outlet ... and it screamed like a freakin banchee. I just wondered if anyone knows where to get those still.
Thanks everyone for your suggestions, i just dont want everyone beating around the wrong bush.

How do you figure recirculating is retarded? It's probably the best option for our cars. With recirculation you have a better chance of getting rid of compressor surge (ie having valve slightly open during idle to allow the spring to open up more easily when its suppose to) and your motor isnt gonna run super rich when you shift.
