At least I didn't go Honda. :)

Today I traded in my '03 Protege LX for an '04 Spec V. Even though the Spec V is a great car for the price, it was hard letting the Pro go. In the end I know I made the best choice for me.

If you know anyone looking for an almost-new Protege in NoVa, just give me a holla and I'll point you to where it is. (boom01)

Sure did. I got the Protege on the S-plan, so the hit wasn't that bad.

Yeah, but I'll manage. Good thing we're moving to a much less expensive apartment in a few months. That'll certainly help.

Well congrats on the spec-v. I work with them everyday and Im not too much of a fan of them. I love driving my car wayyyyyyyyyyy more then I ever liked the spec-v. The power is nice, but I dont like its handling. But kudos to you, if that is what you like I hope it works out for you! (2thumbs)

As far as trading in 1 year old vehicles. We have customers all the time that trade in cars less then a year old, because they like the new and improved vehicles. I.e. the maximas. A lot of people that bought the 2003 Nissan Maxima traded it after the 2004 Nissan Maxima came out months later. Hey if they have the $$ and thats what they want to do then I say go for it. As far as I am concerned after I get my car back the only way I will ever part with it is 1). If Im in another accident and it isnt salvagable or 2). Till I drive it into the ground and even then Its going to in some way be monster housed into a couch for my garage :)

Heh. Yeah, I plan on keeping this Spec V for at least until it's paid off. I just took it out for another 100 miles this morning and loving it more and more with each mile. It has just about enough power for my taste (probably will go with a header and some cheap performance mods), but except for the stereo and maybe white-faced gauges, it's not going to be seriously modded.

Yeah, I actually prefer the '03 grill the best (I think there are aftermarket grills so I can get rid of the bucktooth). I'll have to look into it.

I dont like the new 2004 Sentra design at all. IF I had to get one it would be an 02-03 model. The new 04's remind me of the cavaliers. yuck-o.

But they do have some cool grill options.

my friend has a 2002 Spec V and it certainly looks better than the new ones. Another friend owns a regular 2004 centra and he changed the grill on it, and now it looks even better than a 2002, at least from the front. Rear tails are still....BLEH! Man, dont listen to us! AS LONG AS YOU LIKE YOUR RIDE, YOU SHOULD CARE LESS WHAT EVERYONE ELSE THINKS!

Heh, as far as I know from my limited research, there are no aftermarket grills to replace the '04 bucktooth, but some people have gotten Gutter Guard from Home Depot and made what is now called the Ghetto Grill. I think I'll wait for something a little more... eh... professional. :)

congrats. pics?I'll have pics this weekend. I'm having the dealer install a sunroof tomorrow, so I should get the car back on Wednesday. I'll need to grab the digicam from work because mine at home r 4 sux.

hehe, my friend with his 2004 sentra, got his grill done custom! Looks freaking amazing! and he paid only around 70 bucks i think. Definetly looks better without fugly burger now.
