Ok, lets get this straight...(blah)
1. It is possible to run a bov if you leave the BPV in place and run a secondary vaccum line to the BOV
2. It is possible to get the hi-boost kit, the u pipe to the injen is cut off but the HKS bov that it comes with can be replaced and swapped with another aftermarket (which leads to three)
3. If you are only running a BOV and eliminate your BPV you must tune the BOV, this does not require you to recirculate which in essence can be vented.
I read a post on a greddy bov but it seems he stalls even after tuning....can i say that number one is the smartest way to go???
Hi Boost: Can you describe the perfect bov setup with your car (no stalling)? I feel that half of your customers will base their purchase because of the BOV. What is true or false with your setup?

yes
Run BOV and BPV. No need to recirculate the BOV at that point.
Runs smooth, no turkey, no stalling, just pure lovin

As far as running smooth... It's already running perfect with the forge bpv and fcd.

We haven't tried using two valves at the same time. One valve is enough. We use the HKS that recirculates which it is big enough for high boost applications. Any BOV that vents or with a soft spring will cause the car to stall even if the stock BPV is left. The engine stalls because it sucks air from a different source than thru the MAF sensor.
With our kit there is no stalling because the air is recirculated to the pipe between the turbo and MAF sensor.
The SSQV from HKS seems to work fine after it is properly adjusted. Its design is very good.

I adjusted my SSQV from one extreme to the other and still had stalling problems. I guess some of us have that problem, and some of us don't.
Leaving the BPV recirculating (option 1) is the only thing that has worked well for me.
as far as the BOV/BPV setup..... it's the only way to get the full blow off sound without stalling. If you recirculate the BOV it kills the sound big time.

that did not really clear things.... with the ion you can throw on a flange for vented?

with the ion setup you leave the bpv and add the secondary one? This does not diminish our performance....does it?

No. It actually helps performance compared to the other 2 when you realize that:
a) The turbo is possibly being slowed down when it gobbles on the stock setup
b) The car will run richer after fast shifts when you run just a bigger single BOV that is venting.
On the iON setup, all you need to do is have a flange welded on for your new BOV. You can put it by the TB, or you can put it on the turbo--->IC pipe.

Ok,This is wrong info.It will run richer when you shift but that will not help performance.A richer mixture = LESS POWER when you need it most, after a shift and at lower RPM's.Its kind of a toss up whether or not you HAVE TO HAVE that sound.Re-circulated is the correct way to run our cars PERIOD,but that nice blow off sound is sweet. This is where you must make your own decision.
Performance or sound......or a happy medium between both.
