when installing the strut bar, should i remove the metal braces already there.
looking at some of the pictures, it seems they are removed.

Yes, the new pieces replace the ones already on the car. The new ones don't go over the same 3 studs either. You might have to pivot your negative battery cable 90 degrees rearward where it attaches to the left fenderwell, for room.

oh ok, thanks, i just decided to remove them. i moved the battery wire a little and it fits fine.
i just wasn't sure seeing how sturdy they were, what about the little black connector with the bronze bracket on the passenger's side, i was going to just cut it and make it fit on the new bracket

The "kit" (actually all the stock P5 parts in a box) has a new bracket for that part which bolts to the skinny little studs (w/10mm nuts) on the rear portion of the passenger side STB bracket. Did you get a whole kit? Instructions?

i just ordered the brackets and got the bar off from someone on this forum.
nope, no instructions
it does have a little spot with two 20mm studs and another one off to the side where it seems cruise would go
