When i was at the SEMA IAS in AC i got a catalogue from VIBRANT INC. Don't even remember getting it but much to my suprise i found a 3" inch turboback exhaust for our mazdaspeed. i emailed a rep for more info and this is what info i got so far from what i understand.

from the catalgoue:
1. its a complete 3" inch turbo back exhaust
2. its made of 100% T304 SS
3. it has exposed TIG welds at every seam
4. CNC Mandrel Bent and Mirror Polished T304 SS exhaust tubing

from the email:

We are in the final stages of testing our MazdaSpeed Protégé Turbo back system.

This unit includes a downpipe, and full 3" cat-back system. It includes one catalytic converter rather than the 2 used on the OEM exhaust system.

We did Dyno this exhaust about 6 months ago when we were road testing our first prototype and it made approx. 17hp improvement and about 14ft. lbs of torque. I don't have the numbers in front of me (I am working from my home office) but that is my recollection. It was a significant jump over stock power numbers, that's for sure.

No pricing is available for this unit yet but that information will be forthcoming in the next 4-6 weeks when we go into formal production of this system.

If you have any questions, please let us know.

they had 2 different ones DZ, at least they had 2 different ones, the Vibrant at the time was $1400 CDN, the ES one was $1050 CDN.
What a surprise, the price of this one has gone up too.

The Vibrant one was developped on my car.
I'm waiting for their "pre-production" piece to come back for final test fitting etc.
The prototype did make lots of power, even at stock boost.
Faster spooling, and easier to drive, less lurching at low speeds.

From what I understand Vibrant is using the ES design. Even the ES system is coming with Vibrant mufflers on it. I have spoken to Vibrant multiple times their MRSP is 1000US, it went up from the original, from what I understand its because they used a higher end muffler.

So I plan on the ES one as you guys can probably tell by my threads :) after the ES meet this weekend I hope I have all the details and can present the ES GB offer with full details.

The Vibrant one was developped on my car.

Does this system also replace the S-Pipe? I know they said it replaces the downpipe, but there's been a lot of confusion on this board as to whether or not the S-Pipe is included when the downpipe is mentioned.
