How many people with intakes have the bypass valve? Do you think it is a good investment or a waste of money?

rumor is that you will have to worry about the CAI taking in water and destroying your engine...while this is theorectically possible, it will not happen unless you submerge your intake in water (ie - drive through a 2ft deep puddle)...the CAI is hidden in your wheel well behind the plastic shield which is screwed in...if you are especially nervous, you can always get the AEM bypass valve, although I personally think it's a waste of money.

Personally, I think it's a waste of money, for the reasons mentioned above.

Yes, they are a waste anyway, but definitely do not put one on a turbo car. It even says so on their website.

Short of going swimming with your CAI equipped MSP, hydrolock is virtually impossible. Any water that may get in would be vaporized and its a stretch to think any water is going to get in.( go take a look under your car)

A whole lot of needless worry. Save your dough!

Yep ... just dont take your car swimming through lake Erie anytime soon and you will be good. Plus a little bit of moisture in the air is a good thing.
