Please post up any questions that are not answered in the FAQ (2nd link), but I think everything is covered in there. Remember that these are DOT approved and pricing is higher than a standard harness. These will work with stock Protege seats.

I don't know of any made specific for the Proteges. I was hoping for one too, but I realized that I never used my back seats so attaching to the rear seatbelt mounts won't really affect anything in my car. If you find anything let us know. I've seen people looking on this forum about those things for 2 years. You would be an instant star.

You're right about those. I would like to see one actually welded up so I could get a better idea of how it mounts. You would think someone would jump to build a harness bar. Next time I have my Pro5 tore apart I'll look at it. My grandfather used to weld cages for dirt track cars. We should be able to come up with something.

I talked to Chris and he said that there should be no problems taking the bolt in harnesses and converting them to a wrap-around bar attachment later. Talking to him makes me want to move to Cali...errr

Check the link in the first post. It has some diagrams that list the do's and don'ts for mounting these. There are several options for mounting with the Proteges.

OK guys and girls. The cut off date for this group buy will be this Friday, June 4th. I will need payment on these by that date so I can call SPD and get the ball rolling. How would everyone like to take care of shipping? I was planning on having everything shipped to me and then I would send them out to their respective homes. That would save us all a little money on shipping. once they got to me I would get everyone's shipping charge and take care of that seperately. That way we don't have to guess and nobody gets burnt on shipping charges. We have a week to figure it out so let me know what you want to do.

Also..I'll be calling Chris on Monday to ask about Schroth shoulder pads. I know I would like some with these and I'll post the price on Monday.

I just talked to Chris and he sadi that once we pay it should only take about 7 days. I was hoping to have all the money together by this Friday so we could get the ball rolling and have them by later next week.

I also got pricing on the Schroth harness pads updated in the first post. There is only a few days left and I want to get this order in on time. Payment info is in the first post and PM if anyone has any questions.

Just wait on the shipping. I'm having something else shipped from Cali with the harnesses so I'm not going to charge for that shipping, but we may need to settle up later on individual shipping from my place to your's.

Someone alerted the Schroth supplier about this group buy and the supplier is refusing to allow SPD Racing to get the harnesses. They have actually ended thier distributer contract with SPD due to the deal Chris was offering. Chris is trying to work on this the best he can and I can only keep my fingers crossed for him. If a solution doesn't present itself by the end of the day I will be sending everyones money back through Paypal. I'm not going to jump to conclusions or anything, but I can only think that the accuser to Schroth was another vendor on this forum who wasn't too happy that SPD was doing this. I only say that because Schroth knew about the group buy before Chris called them to get the harnesses. So..thanks a lot for fucking it up for everyone. (notcool)

Thats why there is a ******** tunershop. Let them come after the club for offering a good product for a good price, lol!!! I will never sell out a vendor helping out the community.
