put in a act street clutch in and must say i love the pedal feel...crept up on me though..different then the stock pedal feel. took me a little over 3 hours to do.
was a beech gettin the drive shafts off. havent got on it yet to let you all know how it catches but no doubt ill post it.

also got some new rubber...toyo t1s's 225/45
they're really nice tires and they ride alot better then the potenzas did. quiet especially..i have had no rubbing issues whatsoever...i tell ya they sit hella close to the front perch.
this coming weekend is gonna be fun.(wiggle)

Hey,

Keep us posted on the tread-life of those Toyos. I would really like to get a set when I change up rims.

The clutch was a piece of cake putting it in. I would have to say holy sh!! on it grabbing. Also did the flywheel, HUGE difference, I would also suggest putting the braided line in for the clutch line, big difference as well. Still trying to find a happy medium on adjusting the pedal though. It seems every time I drive it I have to readjust my pedal, grabbing to low or to high. GREAT feeling though! :) Very happy with it.

How do the toyo's feel through the turns? Much better than the potenzas? I'm thinking either the toyos, kumho mx's, or bridgestone potenza s-03 pole positions. Let us know how the clutch feels.

act + toyos.... :bigthumb: on the good stuff.

I like the act clutch in the MSP, not stiff like the other ACT's ive driven... and those toyo's are some grippy tires. :D

Yeah, I've been rolling the ACT clutch for a little over 2 years. Great pedal feel...definitely stiff! I'm about to change it again. I know you've been wanting that new clutch for a while.

It's the Z66-HDSS. Make sure you get the pilot bearing and throw-out bearing with it!

I drove Discreet's msp for a quick spin over the weekend. The clutch was definently a little stiffer than stock, but not to bad. And those tires felt pretty good too, a little better than stock. The ride quality felt like stock too. I forgot what springs you have on there...

Good to hear, I'll be going ACT when my clutch lets go, but so far 24k miles and no problems.

I also have the Toyo Proxes T1-S tires. AMAZING TIRES! I have had them on for a couple of weeks now and they are great. Although I went with the factory tire size 215-45-17. I had read of folks rubbing with 225 on the MSP. They grip better then my factory tires did when they were new, riding much quieter then my mostly worn Potenzas. I feel much more in control and that the transition between traction and the tires letting go isn't nearly as sudden as it is with the stock tires. Very forgiving, 2 thumbs up from me!

Still no rubbing problems with the 225s?

I may have to try 225s the next time around, I could swear these 215s look like they have just a little less overhang than the stock tires.

Never the less, I LOVE my toyo T1-Ss.
