Hey guys, Are NA cams are in and about to be installed. We will doing some dyno runs this week in a Protege5 with CAI, axle back and MP3 ecu. We will let everyone know how to get them and do a GB by the end of the week. The set compliment each other very well and utilizes the stock valve train. They sit on the stock degree points and should see a huge difference in drivability.
Retail pricing is $550 but the GB will be around $490. We will let everyone know shortly. If anyone has any questions feel free to contact me or Perfworks at (717) 846 1570

I don't believe there are any numbers out yet. Correct me if I am wrong. I really wish there were, this is my next planned mod, but not until I see the proof.

thanks for starting a legitamate thread on this.... results should be soon... I will be speaking to Nick personally regarding multiple issues and will try to update u all if i find out anything new. Bear in mind there will be multiple NA stages...with the final stage requiring titanium valvetrain which they will provide...

there is a thread over there by Roddimus Prime for a group buy -- he posted today that they are still waiting for thier turn inline for the dyno -- it sucks to be on a waiting list -- thanks for your support in the protege community wagnermotorsports (http://www.wagnermotorsports) -- we really appreciate your hard work and insite

*good things come to those who wait* --- (drinks)

The cams are on hold. Apparently Nick is in jail, Any money or correspondance that went to nick will be on hold until its cleared up. U can try contacting andy but he might be screwed up from this too.

what about valve springs will you need them with the stage II cams

Either stage II or III , i forget which one will need new springs and retainers which will be offered in titanium... if it ever happens though is a different story.

Stage II are just drop in, Stage III require new valve springs. Apparently the cam group buy on ProtegeClub is temporarily on hold until the whole Nick/Andy thing clears up. Andy is also not doing new orders until he gets his backlog taken care of. This comes from Turbo Matty P on the other board, aka "Roddimus Prime".

does that mean that wagner will continue to make the midpipe, just not right now? I heared that he wasnt going to make it all. I hope thats not the case.. I really wanted that midpipe...

apparently all future orders are on hold while he clears his back log. It all depends on whether nick comes back and whether andy can manage the AEM and all his other parts.

so why do u want the midpipe? Just get a custom piece...its not that scientific to make a full 2.5" back mandrel bent piece w/ hi-flow cat.

because the point was, it was premade and no hassle on my part. I just buy it and put it on. Now I have to do all this extra work that I didn't want to mess with. But I guess I can just make my own and ditch the cat all together and replace it with a resonator. (I dont want my exhaust to be too loud).

I have ordered this midpipe, but havent received it yet. If you wanna wait a couple of weeks, I should hopefully have it installed and let you know my impressions of it.

yeah if you could let me know that would be cool. Hopefully you recieve it soon conisdering all of the "troubles" going on right now.

and you had 108whp before your header? Thats the most Ive seen on a basically stock protege. I thought the average was 98whp w/out intake.

Yeah, I am sort of worried about ever receiving the midpipe. My CC has already been charged, so hopefully soon.

The 108hp was with a CAI and cat-back exhaust. So I figure a 8 hp gain from CAI and Magnaflow sounds about right. (dunno) Maybe my dyno is generous.
