Ive read teh numerous posts on CAI and SRI and which is what. But who really makes a sri intake for the mazdaspeed protege? I have seen teh turbhoeses one which is waht? 390$!? thats ridiculous. I picked up a magazine, import racer i belive? had the speed on the front top cover. These use a akimoto RS intake... then used a cf airbox intake but couldnt find anything on the net. Would the regular es protege intakes work with our car? but at the pics in the mag it seemed they still kept some of the stock piping where as with the injen it replace both parts..left and right side from the air sensor...
so who makes sri for those using them.....
thanks..and i will be getting a fmic, prob the hi boost one:)

i think spool might make one, possibly AEM.
i have heard that many people have converted their cai into a sri by simply not using the second piece of piping in the cai kit - just connect the filter after the maf rather than route it down behind the headlight area. just a thought..

yah, im not really trying to and i doubt many others as well.... are going to buy a 250$ cai and only use half of it. Might as well get a pipe made and just slap on a filter.. thats alot cheaper.. lol
www.dynotexracing.com? no pics or any info on your website....

I know this thread is about a month old. however it was the only one that had potential to answer my question... Those of you that have SRI's where did you buy them from and for how much. I'll be getting the HiBoost FMIC shortly and I don't wanna get the $240 injen and only use one pipe and one coupler from it. So I figured SRI would be the way to go.
