Get leather to replace that piece. Had that in my 5 and there was no wear after 2 years. Now my MSP is about 5 months old and there is wear on that spot already. Need to get leather in it.

File this in the same category as only one power door switch. (beer)

File this in the same category as only one power door switch. (beer) I LOVE having 1 power door switch. Passengers are stupid, don't let them have control. I wish the window lock button didn't affect the driver side buttons, otherwise I'd leave that locked too. On my mazda truck (2 doors) there were two power lock switches (even though pulling the door handle unlocked the doors) and my passengers would always get confused by the buttons and push the wrong one.. they'd hit unlock and jab my elbow when it popped up trying to put the window up or down, then roll the windows down trying to unlock. As it is people roll the windows down trying to unlock the door so I leave the windows locked and they just sit there angrily pulling on the door handle. PEOPLE HAVE NO RESPECT.
Back on topic, I don't notice any wear on my left armrest.. you are talking about on the pseudo-suede, right?

I was noticing mine getting matted witin the first week. definately cheezy, but ohwell. re-upholstering is about the only way to go. you can always get neat-o colors... Oh, BTW. have you done the lock mod yet? it's a must if you use your window sill foran armrest.

i had an old chevy b4 and what i did is replaced any cloth piece of interior with my old jeans.. it took 3 pairs to cover the whole thing pretty much.....durable and looks original.
i am not suggesting jeans for the p5 by any means, but you can find a good durable cloth to use that is a lot easier to work with then leather, cheaper, and will last you longer.
