(drive) I don't have pics but,I used a turboXS type-S bov,and welded it about 6 inches from the throttle body underneth the pipe so it can't be seen, cause the pipes aren't illegal but the BOV is

Here is my set-up...GReddy Type-S running back into the injen intake. This set-up works fine, but will not get rid of the turkey sound. For that, I believe you need to run a dual BOV.

anywhere between the turbo and throttle body (2thumbs)
some people will argue that its better to place it as close to the TB as possible and then some say its better to put it as close to the turbo as possible. in all honesty it doesnt matter, put it where it looks best and is easiest to get to

in cali any open element or open breather is illegal.BOV is a open breather.
unless it's C.A.R.B. approved (injen,AEM,...)

BOV on the Turbo -> IC pipe
Stock BPV on the IC -> TB pipe.

No more turkey, unless I shift at low rpms.

And the famous video clip! (I love showing this off) http://www.msprotege.com/members/jersey_emt/greddy_bov.mpg

Yup, yup. The box for my GReddy Type S had one of those seal type stickers on both sides where you open the box that said it could not be used in the State of CA except for a show or race vehicle that is "NEVER" driven on the street. All I could think is please don't let the Navy make me move to San Diego. lol.

what about running stock BPV on the Turbo to IC pipe, and BOV on IC to TB pipe? Any problems? No problems at all, but I think my setup is the best for this reason:

My stock BPV (on the IC -> TB pipe) is recirculating, the GReddy BOV (on the turbo -> IC pipe) is venting.

When you get off the gas and the throttle plate closes, the air hits the plate, and starts heading backwards towards the IC.

Most of the air gets recirculated back into the intake via the stock BPV, because it's 'first in line'.

The rest of the air (the air that would cause turkey/surge on the stock setup) gets vented into the atmosphere via the GReddy Type-S BOV.

Running the GReddy alone, venting, I can feel a drop in power when shifting due to the overly rich mixture caused by venting to the atmophere. With my setup, I don't feel any bogging down between shifts at all, because a lot of the air is being recirculated.

The only flaw is that if I shift at low RPMs (< 3000), or after building very little boost (< 3 psi or so), I get a bit of turkey/surge. But other than that, it's all GReddy whistle.

BMC ... where did you get the other red hard piping for your MSP. I have the red pipes for the AEM intake, but i would love to have the rest of them for the IC and intake manafold. Tell me where to get em.

I got them from http://www.extreme-speed.net but I think they are re-designing the site at the moment.
