I'm trying to gap these Denso Iridium plugs I just pulled. They're at .035 right now and I wanna try .030, see if that helps with the pinging. Anyways, it specifically says not to use a traditional gapping tool because it will break the thin electrodes. It says tap the ground strap on a hard surface, but its not buding, and i dont want to hit it too hard. Any suggestions on how I could gap them properly..

what if you put the 0.30 feeler in between the electrodes and then give a good smack? then you're sure you won't go over...

I tried tapping on the floor, and that got them to right length, but then i went to far and tried to pull the ground strap back a little and busted the electrode :( Anyone have a link to the NGK Iridiums that everyone is using...

yup use the feeler gauge and tap it lightly on a hard surface.
