Yeah, that usually happens to me too when I first start the car when it's warm. I don't know if it's time to change the plugs (getting close to 6k miles only) or what...?

well i chenged the plugs already to colder ones , but its still there its as if once its hot and the ratio on idle hits rich its as if its stalling then.. i'm gonna try to get the appointment with the dealership and i want to make that software upgrade(the leaning out software)hope that helps....

what are your mods?
if you're un-modded check your IC pipes

those connections are known to become loose or lose their shaping.

Also check your BPV connection. Really anything on your intake line would could cause your rough idle

i have that too... I means you are keeping ur rpm too low... If u drive between 2000-3000 it will never do that. i use to drive the car around 1500-2000 and it use to do it all the time

I don't know if this makes sense but I read on this forum and they said that that upgrading the grounding wires help this issue. Might want to try it or research it. (dunno)

I believe it's just Mazda's weird idle control. I can this in my Protege5 more often than I'd like. I know other people have noticed it as well.

I complained to the dealer but "they couldn't reproduce it". Once I was outside the 10 block radius from the dealership, it came back.

If it stalls... I'm raising hell.

I get the same thing but only when the cooling fan for the radiator comes on. When the fan turns off the idle goes back to normal.
