Gutted Pre cat and Second cat?

I want to get rid of my pre cat, but I dont want to run a CEL. I am not running a secondary cat already.

Is there a CEL fix, like a resistor or something that I dont have to spend more than a few bucks on? I know they make something for around $20. I just cant see spending $20 on a part that costs .10.

if you dont wanna be splicing wires, i heard about a fix using a bit of piping. i read about it here on the forums. you weld on a short piece of piping. a subaru guy said that alot of wrx's use that fix. i'll look for the link. this way if you somekind of warranty work, they wont bitch at you for messing with the electrical.

LOL yes you do.. you want to splice all the wires!!! i have spliced a removable cel eliminator in mine, its easy the blue wire you throw in a 1MOHM resistor and the white and blue wire you have a 1uF cap in between, done..
