front lip spoiler qns

Im planning on purchasing the front lip spoiler from DG motorsport. I plan on calling them and tell them i want the fiberglass instead of the carbon fiber. My friend though told me that urethane is better than fibreglass. What do you guys think, fibreglass or urethane?

urethane is better because he can flex, where as fiberglass tends to rear or break. The problem you will have with the DG lip is it is either CF or fiberglass. They do not make a urethane lip.

Regardless of how you drive.. a rock is a rock... and when they decide they will hit your lip.... forget about it... I wouldn't recommend getting the CF one if it was only a cost saving thing. But I dont' want you waisting your money on the fiber one... I am tellign you this from my friends past experience... they all wish they had CF now instead of patched up fulgy looking lips and bumpers.

I'd go with the genuine Autoexe lip that we have and does flex. It costs more but you get what you pay for.

Don't forget that the DG Motorsports front lip is not entirely Carbon Fiber. The lower half is carbon fiber and the upper half is fiberglass. They will NOT make the entire thing in Carbon Fiber. I wish they would though.

I've got the urethane OEM one under my R package Miata, and I will agree with all the others that you do not want anything made of glass or CF hanging that low, no matter how careful you are.

If mine WASN'T urethane, I'd be on about my 5th or 6th one by now, and I'm very careful. Picture

I love my P5, but that doesn't necessarily mean that I like Mazda. I'm a Honda fan to the fullest because they just have the best cars with the best engines. The P5 fits right in a gap that Honda does not have filled, which is a 5 door wagon priced from $15k to 20k. And no, the Civic SI does not count. It's more than $20k after destination charges and tax plus it's a 3 door. Other than the P5, Mazda can't touch Honda with any other car.

if i was you i would just wait for a co to make a whole new front bumper that is urathayne(sp) i have the dgm fiberglass front lip my car also has the gc coilovers and it took all of 3 hours for a possum to run out in front of my car and fuck up the lip! plus pulling in and out of certain driveways and parking lots is quite a chore....wait for urathayne so it will flex

I guarantee no company will produce a full unrethane front valence. The molds for urethane are incredibly expensive. THe Autoexe lip is urethane and flexible.

No bashing intended here. To clear things up a little, JcsMP3 just had some pretty humorous and interesting icons and pics of cartoons peeing on Honda emblems. Which, I really don't mind at all. IN fact, I think it's really funny. and to Pr5owner, I am fully aware of those models, but I am an American and live in America. Therefore, I was only considering the American market. The three pictures you showed are in the UK, Japan, and other markets: Civic 5 Door, which comes in diesel too, the Jazz, which won New Car Honors with Auto Express, and the Honda Accord Type-R, which I definitely like more than the American Accord. So, apoligies to the offended and I do know enough to be a Honda Fan.

Yeah, I gotta agree with Rishie on the above. And, the styling comment is interesting. The last couple of model generations for Honda seem to have to "grow" on me. But, then I really tend to like them (I dunno why). But, the current Mazda models are really much better looking and have some really good aspects to them; 1) styling of course, 2) the AT4 transmission, 3) handling, handling, handling. Anyhow, to each their own...
