Rev Limited At 126 MPH?

My 03.5 I was told by Mazda was governed at 126 mph. I have the reflash which I don't think changes this but...Last night I hit 134 MPH and shut it down because I saw headlights in the distance. Could this be because of the flash? Not that I'm bitching because I'm fucking loving it! (boom01)

flash changes timing, not gearing
depending on conditions its usually around 132-135

Your gears will actually top out at a little bit over 140. You are electronically limited to about 135 or so.

Yeah, I took mine up to about 230km/h once, I chickened out, and shut er down, cause I was blasting down bleams road(any know the road?) and there was a stop sign comming up, and the hills leading to the stop sign, have the potential to launch you a bit, and I didn't wanna be air born trying to slow down from that speed. Give me time, and I'll hit that darn limit.

I'm glad to hear how fast everyone else has gone because now I don't have to test it for myself. 200 was plenty fast enough for me last weekend. :)

I believe that you will find that the car has a rev limiter...

If your MSP hit 8k rpms, youve got some serious engine mods, like an updgraded cam, valves, rods, and probably pistons, not to mention the ecu, fuel, and intake mods to keep the car breathing at that RPM.

i've him 136 in my MSP before...on I 40. Going to chapel hill from wilmington. The car was still pulling i didn't have it floored and i backed off, cause i didnt' want to get pulled over.

I believe its somewhere around 130-135. Of course they also said they will void your warrenty if you go above 120...what they told my friend. The ECU like tracks your top speed or something like that. They cocked him at 134 mph.

if you remove your brake pads and calipers you can reach a top speed of 140.
