Does anyone know how to install an Oil Pressure gauge??? i have the AUTOMETER mechanical gauge, but i have no freakin idea where i would hook this up to... i called a local performance shop, they said take it to them and have them do it... i dont want to pay 175 bux for them to install a gauge.... i heard i have to hook it up to an oil sensor or something like that, but i'm not sure, i have no knowledge of turbo cars... since this is my first one, any reply's would be great.

OK...since i genuinely cannot stand those that say "search", and since I'm bored by 99% of the topics, here's some help:

The location at which you "tap" into for your pressure reading is the same regardless of whether your using a mechanical or elecrical gauge....the difference is the electrical has the sending unit in the engine bay, the mechanical has the unit in the gauge & you have to run a line to the interior of your car. IF this is the case (mechanical) get a stainless steel braided line w/ the fittings already on...this should eliminate any potential oil leaks inside the cabin of your car.

It's rather simple. Do it yourself but make sure none of the fittings leak... There you have saved $175.00

stainless steel line OR copper line will work fine :)
