Anyone ever gone thru and listed exactly what makes a MSP a MSP? Down to the brands of the struts, who made the front lip on the 3.5(recaro), stiffer clutch spring...etc?

I thought i saw a thread awhile ago but cant seem to find it.

Would be nice to have a list of everything.

(ricer) I have never taken the time to read the ridiculously long list of upgrades. I do know that Mazda claims to have taken a Protege ES and made over 1000!!!! Yes they say 1000 upgrades from the ES. I've seen and driven the ES and would have to say I actually believe Mazda on this one. The one thing they missed though was an ECU program that still blows like the ES's. (ricer)

Recaro is Famous for their seats - as they should be they are GREAT! But they are also a Teir 1(or 2 cant remember) automotive supplier, I dont know specifics on their production but I know that they have dabbled in other areas as well.

He is talking about seats in general - not nessesarily the MSP seats - and I also dont think Sparco made the MSP seats- I think they are all mazda with nice covers - If not remind me to never purchase a sparco seat - these MSP ones dont hold you in a corner worth a darn!

Sparco made the seats for our MSP's they are just mass produced low end ones. Sparco makes seats that are as good as any...Recarro include...they just weren't about to make 2,750x2=5500 high end seats for our car. Even the Recarro seats in the Evo's blow ass compared to their regular quality seats. (dark)

I hate it because I had torinos in my MR2, and these seats are NOTHING compared to them. Should have kept them... I wonder if sparco just had input on the fabric/color scheme. Not the actual seat itself.

Recaro DOES make more than just seats, but I'm pretty sure they don't make exterior stuff. I have no idea who made the lip, but I seriously doubt it was them.

The seats are the same as the ones in the ES...all we have are seat covers stitched over them.

sparco made the seat covers in the 03 (just seat covers, the seats are standard ES), but not the 03.5. There are over 1000 changes to the ES to the msp. The most notable is the turbo.
