since I put my eibach prokit on, I've noticed my car tends to understeer. im guessing its b/c the front is now lower than the rear.. is there anything I can do about it? is there a simple solution (besides putting the stock springs on)? I was thinking maybe adjustable endlinks. if I could some how adjust the rear suspension to match the front again. or something.. someone toss me a bone here.

I don't think just the front being lower CAUSES understeer. I could be wrong here, but I think I remember iON saying that their race springs would actually make your car oversteer like an ITR.

I do know that putting a fat rear sway on usually causes understeer...maybe look into the AWR adjustable or the new Delsing unit that's almost out.

yeah, thats what I was thinking. a new rear sway bar. but what is it that makes the sway bar "adjustable?"

Do you have 'under'steer or 'over'steer? Understeer is where the front want to puch through a corner; oversteer is when the back want to come around on you. A stiff front suspension will bring understeer; a stiff rear suspension will bring oversteer. A big front sway bar will cause understeer; a big rear sway bar will cause oversteer.

First, check your tire pressures. Then, check your alignment. A good alignment can do wonders. Then, check you driving habits. Bad driving habits can cause all sorts of wacky handling traits. Last, play around with your sespension set-up. You could end of spending a lot of money on upgrades that only make your handling worse.

I'm guessing you just made a typo, but a big rear bar will cause oversteer.

yes, did mean understeer... when I go into a corner, the front digs down, and it will lose traction and slide foward, as opposed to gripping and turning (oversteer).

-tire pressures, both front and rear
-check front sway bar to make sure its attached properly still
-check turn-in habits(on your part)

disconnect your front swaybar (joking) cause when mine was disconnected (broken endlink*) I had MAD oversteer (not joking)

I nearly lost it on a curve... I actually drifted a fwd car.. no shit.

My AWR swaybar took care of the understeer. It adjusts by sliding the mounting brackets forward for oversteer, or rearward for understeer. Here's a pic:

See the black box-like thing on the left that attaches the swaybar to the struts? That's the bracket that adjusts the stiffness. There's another one on the passenger's side too. :)

Disconnecting your front bar will give you oversteer, like Ryan said. Some people do it for autox, I disconnected mine just to see what it was like. Noticably more body roll, but man can you get the ass out lol.
