Hey what's up guys, i just bought myself a 2003 protege. I used to own a 91 240sx which can be seen here (http://members.cardomain.com/hookedup24o). So far the car is great, i love driving it. I picked it up with it having 5100 miles, I paid 15k, Its such a change going from a rwd car to fwd turbo car, with all the torque steer, but i guess i'll get used to it. I've been doing some research on this board and I hope to just do some basic mods this coming summer. Nothing to major, just a intake, catback, some springs, tint the windows, and a boost controller and run about 10 psi, and a bov. Also this is my first turbo car so i don't know to much about it. Well here's some pics.

I'm from NJ, Hey guys i have a question, the car came with a turbo timer and i have no instructions for it or anything and when i turn off the car it doesn't stay on and idle, I have it set to auto but it just shuts off after i shut off the ignition.

Does anyone have any instructions online on how i can set it. Um...i think its a blitz DC II or something.

Thanks for the warm welcome

Sweet! You won't regret your purchase. At least I hope not. You also seem to have gotten a good deal. I paid $16,900 for mine with about 8k miles on it. I know I paid a lot for a used one, but I had to have a Spicy Orange and I was willing to pay a premium to get it at the time I was shopping for one. Either way, congrats and welcome aboard. This is a good group, and you'll learn a lot here.

Damn, I miss my '91 240sx! Love my 'speed better, but that was a pretty nice car. I had the "hicas" 4-wheel steering option, and man that thing handled well! But I've got the better car, now!

Welcome to the site & CONGRATS on the MSP!

I guess no one noticed his radiator hose...it looks like it's covered in something. At first I thought maybe it was a coolant leak, but it wouldn't have that much.

I noticed the radiator hose right away. It definitely looks like something is wrong there...

Yea i don't know i haven't found anything leaking that would cause this, I'm going to go to the dealer soon for a oil change, i'll have them check it out.

But again thanks guys for the warm welcome.

my cars radiator hose looks the exact same. ive tried cleaning it with degreaser, and bout 98762 different things but nothing. its been there since i bought it with 4 miles on it, 1500 miles now and still looks the same. I just assumed its normal. isnt leaking and doesnt feel like the rubbers breaking down b/c of it. maybe its something i should get checked out?
