Does anyone out there have a problem with the shifter not going on right with the stock knob? I have the MSP knob screwed all the way down and now the gear labels are off, it looks sideways. Anyone else have this problem?

You can request to have it threaded for the stock msp knob. All you have to do is just ask ;)

Well when its tightened all the way its side ways, but i can leave it tightened up not quite as tight and then it will be lined up however the knobs is hard to grip with it moving around on the threads.
Question:
Does the gear label on the knob come off? I was thinking about just taking it off and putting it back on there that way its lined up with the gears.

Get yourself some teflon tape and mad wrap the threads. This will make the knob herd to get on but you can thread it almost all the way down and it will stay put.Teflon tape is like a $1 a roll.Try it ,it will work.

Wouldn't a few drops of loc-tite do the trick?

That would probably work too if you did it and let it set up overnight.Just thoughts from us creative people.

Do u mean thread lock.. don't use taht stuff.. use too little and and its point less, u'll twist it right off... use too much and u can't get it off without tools. Use the tape that force fed talks about... and a exacto knive to cut the part u don't need

It will line up! I almost blew my shoulder trying to tighten, but it will line up. You cant use any tool that I know off becuse it will mark up the knob. Tried pipe wrench and a towl. Cut right through the towl.

Use the blue loc-tite if you want to get it off without tools. It should say that on the package, the red is for stuff that you never really want to have come off. choose, but choose wisely.
