there a couple members in AZ that have this header and a couple more that I know of, from the looks it is almost exactly like the ractive header but the collector seems shorter somehow and the only complaint I have heard about it is froza's damn name plate being welded right between the 2 middle pipes.

is this gonna throwa cel?

Yes, because it removes the cat.

It shouldn't throw the cel light. I had a header on my last car and it was fine after the egr got reconnected.

thats just it the 2nd one isnt there anymore to attatch to with these headers, so you have to get a mil eliminator or have a bung welded on by a local shop to not throw a cel, only header systems out that wont throw CELs are essential speeds and wagners shorty style headers.

well when u add shipping to the ebay one and the fact your getting the ones from protegegarage a company thats reputable and will help you after your purchase the difference is negligable.
tonkabui
04-26-2004, 01:32 PM
this will throw a CEL if you don't get the MIL fix or a second bung welded behind the second cat. the o2 sensor at the top of the header and the o2 sensor at the bottom of the header will read the same air, causing a CEL. if you MIL it, you'll get rid of it. if you weld a second o2 bung behind the cat, then you'll have to find a bolt to fill in where the o2 sensor would have gone and you'll solve the CEL problem. there's tons of talk about this all over the forum.

I was gonna say, $200 shipped is a steal - the actual total with shipping is $236. I can, realistically, come down to $239 shipped.

If you install that system as shown--assuming the pic is perspective correct and isn't Fotoshopped--the tail pipe comes out somewhere in front of the left front wheel...

Ya those pictures are incorrect. If you goto OBX racings website they have that pic uptop, thats why so many websites had those pictures. ProtegeGarage had that too, but now they have a great car picture of them installed. ;)

I remember emailing them a while back about it. I think it's a picture of a miata header. I can't remember what they told me about it. Someone should talk to them, because from what I can tell from the picture, I like the design.

Well its now 225$ in the GB so you should really support the venders. Im sure if anything is wrong with the header captain would be glad to help. So lifetime warranty can suck my 3 balls.
