I think that would look sharp on a blue car.....

Yeah that is what I was thinking...

Color Match that part of the lights or maybe just a red color would look better...

Very nice, but can you change out the red turn-signal for the correct amber? And what about back-up lights? I like the different colors for functions on the stock lights and would hate to lose them.

I thought about that too...Since from what I am understanding the lights aren't sealed all that well, is split them open, match paint to car and paint all the non-reflective surfaces...Then re-seal properly.

I think it would look sharp and give it a twist of originallity on a not-so-original part.

Then keep the amber turn signal and clear back-up lights. Just paint the chromey areas.

I don't like the chrome look, and the black carbon fiber doesn't look all that great on the blue car, IMHO anyway...

I wanted to do the same with the headlights, paint all the non-reflective surfaces with matching paint from the car. Or is that too much blue???

Is there such a thing as too much blue?!?

Something to consider is using a type of paint/coating that is translucent on the chromey parts so that it still retains its SHINEINESS but still shows as the color you want....which is what the pics you have posted does....if you use regular paint that will disappear.

Yeah, I don't want the shinieness...I want the color of the car...

Alright guys, this was the look I was trying to go for when I first started my project. I was planning on getting color matched to the car, or something close it. Now they didn't come apart that easily.. even after putting them in the oven... heat gun.. blah blah..... all that stuff didnt' work worth shit....

APC put together a POS product as almost all their stuff is and they where way way too hard to take apart without nothing braking or getting damaged. I tried one light and it got screwed so I wasn't going to take the chances on the other light.

If you want to only paint the outside of the casing. Krylon has some new paint out for glass and plastic. It gives the look of stained glass, they have a nice blue there. I used the smoked blue glass effect for my sun visor on my front window... it looks much better then my old sticker and it looks from factory as well...I will show you pics soon.

about those lights... APC where supposed to make them those colors but for some reason backed out of it... I would of much preffered those colors over chrome.... ;)
