Hello,

We just bought my girlfriend a MP5, it came with the gold kit, but shes not too crazy about it. If anyone wants to trade for the regular silver kit, send me an email.

Thanks!
Jeff

GOLD KIT???? what exactly are you talking about? it sounds like the dealer installed something aftermarket....I know of NO GOLD KIT that is a factory option.

Please be more specific.

The badges are all in gold and the license plate frames (which probably are a/m) are also gold.

haha, no, bought it in kirkland, wa.... the dealer did put on this lowrider style painted on pinstripe with a swirl and the gold stuff, I'm sure either will grow on us, its not like they were deal breakers, but I'm hoping someone will want it and want to trade for their silver stuff...

I will say I was really surprised by the cars pep and handling. We own a 97 vtec prelude, and the mp5 actually has a really similar handling feel and up to about 4,500-5,000 rpm, it has a similar feel in power, it was surprising to me givin the 70hp difference. The mp5 is a lot of fun to drive and a lot more enjoyable then I thought it was going to be, plus its nice to be able to put the dog carrier in the back without having to take it apart and rebuild it everytime we want to take them hehe.

Welcome to the fold, Foster42! That handling is definitely a clincher, isn't it!

Ha, sure was, I didn't even bother getting her around to test drive before buying it for her :)

BTW, where did you get those seat covers from? Those are really nice!

Hey, is the car white? If so, I think I saw it on Lee Jonhson's lot when I was buying my P5 there about a month ago. :) My salesman told me they have a lady come out and do the gold package work on the cars...it's not a factory deal. Sorry, I'll stick with my silver badges.

As for the pinstripe, are you sure it's painted on? Most are vinyl and can be easily removed with some heat and a credit card or fingernail.

Yep, sounds like its the same one...

I thought it might be just vinyl, but I don't think it is, especially with the swirl, but I'll take another look at it tonight.

Gold emblems would look nice on a BLACK car.

On closer inspection it looks like the gold is "painted" on, so I'm not sure if you guys would still be interested, it rubs off if you try hard enough.
