Has anyone seen those short infomercials on TV about the Ding Key that you can use to pull out dents? If so, has anyone got it, and does it work? I am asking because I have 2 dents to get out on my doors, and I don't want to pay a fortune.

Haven't heard jack, but if you say it (ding key) real fast, it sounds like "dinky". That's a bad sign.

Those things work well with dents that don't have a "dimple". In other words, if the dent is just a "push in", with no crease stress on the metal, it should work O.K.

Nothing but body work will fix a dent with a stress bend. The tool will likely improve the dent, but it will not be stock.

I think the product you are referring to is called "Ding King". "Ding King" is used for pulling out dents that have no crease or paint damage. It works best on grape fruit sized dents. Costs about 20US, it may take 10-20 pulls until you see any significant results. When fixed, it will be 95-98% like new.

the side moldings are useless against the idiots in their trucks and SUV's that park too close to me and dent my car.

i have a few dents on my drivers side door all from one incidence with a tall sitting vehicle, i dont remember if it came with the car when i bought it or if someone did it while i owned it, but i know the side moldings didnt work against it.

is there any way to take out very small dents?

Dinky? The "Ding King" will only really work if there is no creases in the metal from the dent. All it really is is a suction cup. You could just pull off interior panels and pop that sort of dent from the inside.

Huh. I only saw the first 2 posts when i wrote the above. Then I looked at how old this thread is.

Craftsman makes some crazy body panel repair kit that presses, pushes, spreads and blah blah blahs in every shape, way or form. It's some hydraulic thing, and costs over $100, but seems much more real than the Ding King. I've never used one, or known anyone who has but it really intrigues me. Someone should take the hit and buy it, but not me.
