I'm wondering how efficient our stock MSP mufflers are. I'm looking and getting some turbo back piping done and rip the cats out, but I might want to keep the stock muffler on there.

Any thoughts?

If funds are tight, keeping the Racing Beat muffler is not a bad way to go. It is a performance muffler. I put on a Greddy SP2 system. My car feels better than when I had stock muffler on. The acceleration is smoother and the torque pull is stronger.

The bottleneck in our cars is the mid pipe / cat-resonator set up; not the muffler.

Just get a custom mid pipe and exhaust to muffler pipe. Good luck.

My current system is an Apex 2.5 catless down pipe and the Greddy GP2 system. Its not loud at all. I was not looking for a loud muffler. I found it in the Greddy.

I'll try to post some sound clips later.
