Just to let anyone know who might be interested. My body/paint guy said the rear bumper was a perfect fit! At first we thought it was so low that we might have to bend the muffler hangers inorder to get it on, but somehow it fit perfectly!

Either way ill have some pics posted tomorrow after i pick it up ;)

Oh btw for all you marylanders (ill post this in the MD section as well) i got all my work done at Gary's automotive...

It's one guy who has like a 6 car carage. I found out about him through ACI (auto collision inc). When my car was hit, my insurance company reccomended ACI simply due to the fact that they do awesome work. However ACI will not guarantee their work unless it is on OEM equipment. Since i was using my insurance check to purchase a non-OEM bumper they reccomended Gary. They send all their business of this type to him and ive seen some of the great work he does. He only charged me 400 bucks to put on the rear bumper, paint it, plus fix my dented rear quarter panel and repaint that. He didnt do any fading he painted the ENTIRE quarter panel, which if you notice on the MSP's goes all the way above the windows down to the hood. Oh and he also re-pinstriped the quarter panel as well. He is a great guy to do business with. Very upfront and professional.

Fitment wasnt perfect, however it is gonna have to go back in to be repainted. He used the mazda color code but as you can see from the pictures the bumper looks to be a little brighter than the rest of the car. I'm hoping buy sanding it down and using some black primer we might be able to fix that problem...

Here are some more. As you can see it's a little lighter than the rest of the car so im going to get the guy to repaint it using a black primer underneath, which will hopefully get it to match the stock color...It's weird cuz he used the stock mazda paint code. I think it's because urethane bumpers are black by nature and fiberglass bumpers are white...

I'm gonna get the sideskirts eventually however i have already invested in the DG carbon fiber/fiberglass lip. I have the P5 fogs and sold my stock lip, so i think my car will look pretty sweet with this rear, the sides and a DG carbon fiber/fiberglass lip...

Ill be alrite, trust me. Ive already measured everything. It will match up nicely and have a very agressive look. I just to save up for some 18's now.

He may not need to repaint it, it is afterall fresh paint. Wait a week or two to let it fade. If it still doesn't match try having him buff it. If it is still off then have him repaint it. No need to waste more time when it might be able to match after a little time.

Buffing it will dull the clear coat, maybe dull it enough to match the stock paint a little better. I'n my opnion though, the bumper looks white, the car is silver. ( I didn't look at the pics until after I made my post.) On a side note, I really wish they had carried the fender line all the way down on the BC2 bumper. It just doesn't look right for it to end right at the bumper to me.

I totally agree about the side skirts (I prefer the stock ones on the P5/MP3/MSP). He is planning on getting mesh soon & maybe also a different grille, springs, & wheels.

I agree that white car needs to lose the side moldings and put a spoiler more like ours on it. The stock tiny spoiler just doesn't mesh with the kit. Speaking of mesh, it could use that also, as well as fog lights for those round holes. Some gunmetal or black opal wheels would look sweet. I am a fan of 17"s, but 18"s would fill out the wheel wells nicely also. It could use some Tein or Eibach springs, and the DG grill, or perhaps just go carbon fiber grille/hood/mirror covers, since it sets off from the white paint nicely. I definitely agree the side skirts needs to be redesigned. It seems like they spent all of their time designing that decent from bumper, and the rear is decent as well. Then it was deadline for the design to be finished, and they just stuck some straight side skirts on. I would be interested to see phase II if they redesign the sides. I like the front and rear bumpers! I may just go with the front lip, since I purchased the car in part because it already had a kit.

Haha...that's funny. It is so boring looking stock. Is that your Protege in your signature? It is just a stock Protege with wheels, huh? No offense dude, but I hate stock cars, they are incredibly boring to me. To each his own though, I am not knocking what anyone does with their cars. I wasn't actually going to go with the fenders, but the guy I won the hood from also carried the fenders, and I got them really cheap, and with no additional shipping. I saw one without the fenders, just the hood, and it looked a bit plain. The car is really plain down the side without anything done. That is why I had the black portion around the mirrors painted, and the fenders installed, to set it off a bit from stock. I was thinking "roll-call" at one time, but I paid for all but like 2 mods, so why should I advertise for companies who made good money on me. At any rate, thanks for the feedback!
